We often pop in at this store to shop for hardware and odds and ends.Its a Express store, so doesnt stock everything that the normal Builders Hardware stores stock, but has all the basics that the avid DIY enthusiast, and general gardener may require for their projects.The staff have always been friendly and helpful, so all in all quite a pleasure to shop here.

My husband and I went to the store today. We had a query, but the sales lady spoke to us in such an unprofessional manner, did not let us finish speaking, so much so that I had to ask for the opportunity to speak.The manager habdled it beautifully and patiently, unfortunately at checking out and payment the same store workers were present woth friends and made the purchasing process more uncomfortable. I will not be going back. It is unfortunate as we loved the guy who helped us with the selection of paint.

Bad service and you always need to check that the shelve is the same than what is on till as its always more than what the shelve say. Took 10 mins to get through at till because all is such a effort if you dont want to work go sit at home I usually say. Give those work who wants to work.

Sorry, but have to bring down stars. Reason is that assistance and knowledge of personnel is very poor. Just see how longyou have to searh around without assistance. Female shoppers have to make a plan to find something. Wife bought paint...had to carry it by herself and she had a backoperation. Pathetic.

Popped in to buy bird seed and walked out with not only bird seed but my card aswell. The two staffers who helped me were super helpful and friendly. Ill be back.

Not much staff available to assist

The variety of goods could be bigger, and pricing is slightly up on other hardware shops. Rather go to Hermanus Hardware.

Functional lay-out, enough variety of diy, paint, tools, garden and daily useables.

So today is a public holiday (26 Dec), I called this morning to enquire if theyre open. The number provided is for a call centre, after waiting approximately 5 minutes for an agent to answer my call I hung up.By chance I passed by during this afternoon and found them open, went in looking for something, spent about 10 minutes deliberating over whats the best door handle to purchase and subsequently wasnt once approached by anyone working for Builders, needless to say, i proceeded to the checkout where I was greeted by a pleasant cashier who was efficient.

Rated them 4 stars before, but this morning was terrible 10 people in the q and only one till in operation. Staff nearby saw this and only once I got to checkout did they have another 2 tills in operation. Very disappointed

The 4 stars are a reflection of the staff who seem to be friendly and helpful. The down side of the store is the lack of pricing information on so many products. I have brought it to the managers attention, he acknowledged the problem and said it was being addressed, but after several months I have not noticed much difference. It ends up being a guessing game when you get to the checkout, which is not good.The self help scanner, so you can scan the bar code and get pricing information, seems to have been out of order for 4 months. Not very impressive.

Want to Give 0 Stars , There is almost No pricing on Most of the products . I just left the store and did not buy anything. I went to Buco And everything had pricing on it. There is Sections where there is almost just one price on the entire row of different products. Im sorry but dont even waist your time by going here .

I bought two items at a cost of R10,000 on the 25 May 2020 and have had zero contact from Builders warehouse on the delivery of the items. Every telephone number I have phoned rings with no-one ANSWERING FOR LITERALLY HOURS.All I hear is advert for flights, grass cutting but no-one to help me with my problem. Do not full be fooled that this is an online purchasing service. This is robbery with intent.Alan Keeley.

Very nice hardware store but have visited the wood cutting section twice and both times the guy who does the cutting was not there. Will definitely not go back again. The paint department is tops. Always friendly and efficient and very knowledgeable.

The quality control of the shelve pricing is bad and cannot speak of services on the floor. Paint section and builders counter very helpful. I dont want to check every price at check-out.

0 stars. A terrible experience all together, dealing with both the call center and the local Hermanus branch. We ordered a product online for our business on 25 February, were told the product was in stock in the Western Cape, and would be delivered to our business address by 9 March. The delivery date came and went with absolutely no communication from Builders to let us know that the product was going to be late. Upon further investigation - and FINALLY getting through to someone who could help us - we were told that, in fact, the product was not in stock anywhere in the country... but they had still taken over R6000 from us online for product purchase. Subsequently we were given the runaround, not provided with any feedback, and calls to check status were repeatedly cut off. 32 days later, we finally got in touch with the acting store manager who said it could take another 5-7 working days for the product to arrive! Possibly! We told them that taking our money, saying stock was available when in fact it wasnt was tantamount to theft. We asked for an immediate refund, thankfully were told we could get one. But lets see if it arrives on schedule within one business day. Not hopeful. Overall, terrible service, awful communication. Just out to make money.

Had a tyre blowout on my way home from a weekend away in Hermanus. I got the spare out but the tools I had in the car were far too worn to make any progress on replacing the ruined tyre.Builders Express was my last chance at getting home and they came through, no other places were open on a Sunday afternoon. One guy on the staff was very helpful and found exactly what I needed to get my spare tyre sorted. Weekend saved by these guys.
