Best sushi in town... We loooove Kuka Restaurant. You wont be disappointed.
Great place for a remote location kine Hazyview. The owner is very nice and staff is very attentive. Only issue If you sit outside there are flies all around. There is a nice patio though. Food is great. There is a shop near the restaurant that sells a Africa antique products. Good place to grab a drink as well.
Although we waited a bit before being served, the rest of the evening turned out wonderful. Our waiter Douglas was very pleasant and his service good. My pan snails were delicious and my husband enjoyed his pork belly poppers starter so much I ordered it for my mains, with veggies extra. He had the steak, rib and wings combo as a main meal, also with veggies. It is a lovely restaurant overall. Thank you.
What seemed was going to be a amazing espresso by illy coffee turned out to be a disaster. Dont believe this establishment does any justice to illy brand. You can not serve someone filter coffee and call it espresso just because its served in a espresso cup.Suggest that you train your staff so that they can provide the level of service that your patrons expect.
We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon drinking cocktails and wine. The steaks were pretty good as well. Maybe a bit of a limited menu if you dont like sushi but overall a great afternoon out
Our waiter made my moms birthday to be special, its a beautiful place.
Good food, great coffee. Friendly, attentive staff.
A great place to visit food is great and well presented
Food was delicious really enjoyed my meal here will highly recommend this place
Update - February 2021: The menu has been slimmed down quite a bit due to COVID but the atmosphere, food and service are still excellent. They no longer have Sabie or KCB beer but they do have Castle on draft. Unfortunately, still no IPAs but I survived and the illy espresso is still excellent.Update - March 2020: Third visit in 2 years, great atmosphere, good food and beer selection is slowly getting better but still waiting for an IPA to appear! This trip I had the Hake, which was a different presentation than usual - green vegetable, halloumi and chorizo on top, not bad but the veggies took out the crunch. They still have free WiFi and friendly service.Feb 2019: We stopped in for lunch and drinks, descent beer selection although no IPAs. The Kuka lager on draft was pretty good. I wasn’t that hungry so had the salmon wrap which was good. My wife had a rump steak which was cooked perfectly and she really enjoyed it.Our waiter was Douglas and he was friendly and very attentive. The hostess and manager both made sure that we had the WiFi password and that we had everything we needed. WiFi was hit or miss, fast and then super slow. There is both inside and outside seating and they have a full bar as well as illy coffee. The place has a good atmosphere.I’d definitively come back for another meal, just wish they had at least one IPA beer!
Service good veg and fish fresh and delicious
Very nice place.Came there just because my hotel did not offer dinner on sunday. I wished i had seen it before. Food is really good and some variaty of other restaurants is offered. Service both profession and friendly. Portions are big enough. Safe parking, other shops for (window-)shopping next door. All worth a visit. Nice yellow brown lights inside.
The service was pretty good, the staff were friendly and great overall. I had ordered the sushi, and I must say it was the worst sushi Ive ever had. My expectations were low, considering the fact that this beautiful little restaurant is inland and probably had its fish imported. The rice on my sushi tasted like it was cooked the day before and frozen in the fridge, the cucumbers in my sushi were bland and dry, indicating that it was cut at least several hours before being used in my food. The salmon was very dull, probably also cut hours before, maybe even the day before. If you are considering this restaurant, it is an overall good experience, but I would highly recommend that you DO NOT order the sushi. Management and the chef should consider removing it from their menu entirely.
We ordered breakfast arrived cold, sent it back, came back cold asked to see the manager, he asked me how should the eggs Benedict be served , I asked him all I wanted was hot Benedict sauce hot ham and was that a lot to ask for , he the. Told me that’s the way they serve it, left the table went into the kitchen , the further discussion, the waitress was very embarrassed, so we left without breakfast, paid for coffee that was also cold, so very poor reflection in my eyes
Came here after going to the Zipline adventure which is based next door. Had the naked burger and the kuka burger which were delicious. Very filling. Had the craft beer and a mango daiquiri which were also very nice. There is inside and outside seating and a friendly atmosphere.Douglas our waiter was very friendly and welcoming. Was very attentive and helpful.Definitely reccomend!
Best burgers ever!!! Fantastic service. So impressed.
Nice so peaceful. Cool. Wow the best place
Too quite boring wasnt busy would visit again if you know what I mean. 😄
We ordered 12 queen prawns but was served small / prince prawns. Spoke to the waitron who spoke to the manager. Manager avoided us until we called him. We were prepared to pay full amount but didnt appreciate the avoidance by the manager. Wont be recommending Kuka.
The place is nice compared to what is avail in the area. Meals were ok, the double baked fondant is a disaster and the staff were good. Overall, lots going for it and recommended if you enjoy meat.
Had a lovely brunch, food was amazing and our waiter, Patience, was awesome!
I love this place awsum food and lekker coctails must go if you are in hazyview
We enjoyed our light meal a lot. Service was efficient
I ordered a 500 Gram ribs and I know meat and this was not anywhere close. They charge R 190.00 and I do not believe it was anything more than 350gramms. Told the Manager and he told me I was wrong. The Ribs that we’re there we’re absolutely delicious and service very friendly. Pity to spoil an otherwise superb lunch. Delicious but not worth the money.
Best food in town. Great service.
I have food allergies and at Kuka they were willing to substitute eggs with ham. I dont experience this often. The waitress was super friendly and respectful. Loved the food too. Overall great experience.
Very nice place. It was a warm day(38°c),so they had the fans and sprayers on which was nice! Good job
The food was good and the service was exceptional.
Lovely staff and service
Good atmosphere.
Had a top class experience today (1 October) at Kuka.Sushi and pizza was brilliant and the best service! Great food, even better service. Well done guys
Lamb curry delicious and to my liking. Tasty and not too hot. Sandwiches and dalafs fresh and tasty. Staff friendly.
Good menu selection backed up by good service
Very hot. Need aircons please. Could sit there was just to warm
Food was great, dessert was the best. Service was average as our waiter didnt really check on us at the regular expected intervals but overall its a great place to stop for dinner. I had the springbok shank and it was delicious so I highly recommend it. Atmosphere was very relaxed and cozy. Pricing is reasonable.
Service okay. Meal i had could of been better. Overall nice setting and great food presentation.
We did lunch, great service and excellent food choices. Price range is acceptable.
Food was fair, service was good.Found it expensive
Just stopped by for some Cappacinos. Was very good and service was super friendly. Thanks!
Casual, top service, great food (the best toasties!), good menu with plenty of variety and a good selection for vegetarians...
We didnt know we had to book & it was full but the manager made a top plan. We had a great service & nice food.
After a long day through the panorama route, this is a one stop to make
Didnt have any problems, just relaxed with a milkshake and a kuka wrap. Was great.
Service very slow but frendly staff and good food
Very nice food and friendly waitress. Excellent layout and atmosphere.
Very poor experience - our party ordered 3 steaks and all three were terribly overcooked and did not taste nice. We complained but the restaurant didn’t do anything about it. Would not recommend this restaurant
Sushi in Hazyview! My scepticism was turned on its head when, after a chat to the sushi chef, we were assured of it’s freshness. It arrived as a piece of artwork and the Sashimi pieces were no small pathetic helping we have experienced at some restaurants. The house wine is a new range from Robertson winery displaying an artist’s work as a tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Lowveld Botanical garden, in Nelspruit, not far from Hazyview. That too is worth a visit.
Excellent service! Good food.
The place is beautiful, but the food did not meet my expectations and the waitress who served us was not friendly
Absolutely Magnificent Restaurant. My 1st time here, the friendly waitress suggested springbok shank and it blew my mind! I cant wait for my next visit to Kuka. Great wine, Great food, Great Service.Sorry Im not able to give 6 stars.
Patrons barbaric drunks and screaming like lunatics
Amazing food, good service and a lovely relaxed vibe
Excellent serviceAnd good food
World class menu and range of cocktails and craft beers. Douglas was a joy as our waiter. A truly wonderful experience
Kuka Restuarant is consistently good. We often stop there for breakfast, and occasionally for lunch, as we pass through Hazyview. The bathrooms are clean, and there is good outdoor seating. Most recently we had smoked salmon and avocado wraps - really excellent, so I have upgraded my star rating to five.
