This place is amazing the actual place exceeded my expectations more beautiful than the pictures. Frans and his stuff are so friendly and helpful. The place is neat and clean. Home away from home.

The place is amazing with a dam view to die for, the host(Frans) is so friendly and helpful, he goes an extra mile and beyond his duty to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. The place is so clean and have everything you will need for holiday home. We will definitely visit the place again.

Positive: The view from our room was out of this world . We could see the dam , and the view of the sunrise was beautiful. The owner is very friendly and the place is super clean. Owner went as far as driving us up the steep driveway which I thought was very kind gesture. Total enjoyed our stay.. Negative: The place is not a place you want to go to if you are with people you had not seen in a while and want to catch up. Even though the profile did state that no party’s may be hosted ,the noise restrictions are ridiculous (you literally cannot have a conversation without receiving a noise complaint from the owner) . The walls are paper thin and owner is very strict when it comes to that and you may be removed from the property if you do not comply with the silence after 10pm rule..

Positive: Beautiful view, nice reception by the staff and so friendly, generally clean and restful. Negative: The tiles in the shower needs to be srcubbed,there were dirt(brown)crease around it. No tin open, had to ask for a wooden spoon.

Positive: The view was superb. It was peaceful, calm and relaxing. Will definitely love to go back for another getaway at Thatch View..

Beware of the pricing. They charge per person in the apartment. So even if there for two bedrooms with double beds, (the one room was a double bed, the other room had two single beds)- the price is only for two guest. If you choose to bring an additional two, they will charge you an additional R2k for two nights (weekday stay)

We had a warm welcome by the owner. The guest house is super good, the view is so beautiful you can see the dam from the distance. We really enjoyed

Beautiful house but the owner is terrible! We were so uncomfortable because he shares the house with guests and wants zero noise which is difficult for large groups. We were basically treated like school kids

This place is so beautiful i feel so much peace around here. The view is breath taking. And the lodge is 5star.

Absolutely no water pressure in shower. Owner was very rude and ignorant. We got kicked out of our place. Tv channels are limited. Bed is unsteady. No cleaning materials or cleaning service. Worst place on earth. Horrible driveway. It ruined the car’s tyres.
