Nice place to stop when Travelling from Johannesburg to Durban. Its almost halfway. The place is so interesting because you can fill up your car, they are many restaurants, covered parking are enough, theres a big space for those who having trailers.If you love the nature, theres flowers around , plenty of roses, youll see a big mountain , animals. For those ones who travelling with kids, theres a playing area.The only problem when youre from Durban the access is a bit complicated and the exit as well.

Definitely the best place to have rest and a meal if your traveling between JHB & KZN. The flowers are stunning and the view is amazing. The toilets are always clean no matter the time of year. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from and you can get a quick take away or have a proper sit down meal.

Lovely place with very clean rest rooms. Great variety of shops and places to eat. Love the atmosphere and feel of the place. Also found a Geocache here - this is a great activity to get involved in and brings you to a lot of interesting places all over South Africa - someting adventures and exciting to do with friends and family. Great place to stop on your way to Durban or Johannesburg. Exactly half distance between the two places. Nice easy feeder road on and off the freeway and located in a beautiful spot with trees, grass and even a picnic spot. Usual fast food places to be found and the Engen attendant service is excellent.

Wimpy and m&b closed. got coffee and pies at the garage..... the coffee were uce cold, the pies were so old, the meat inside was dried up.

Wonderful place. Forget other garages on N3. This is the best and biggest. So many take aways and sit down restaurants. Fishaways , Nandos, Wimpy take away and Wimpy restaurant, Mug & Bean, Simply Delicious , Spur, Wrap it up cafe., Seattle coffee, KFC. McDonalds, Debonairs pizza, Quick Shop. Atms large parking . Kids play area. Great view of Mountains. Super service

Im a long distance truck driver that wants to buy something different to truck stop food and i just got denied that chance now here at Engen bergview. Now i know some drivers are dirty but not all of us are the same. But to chase me and my wife away like dogs I do not take likely. Just one question for these people who brings for stock to your shops the clothes you where every day the petrol in your cars and even your cars. WE DO THE TRUCKERS. Just remember this and think very good about it im a person just like anyone else im a customer like everyone else

I stop at this garage often but this time around the engine garage staff were stubborn arrogant incompetent and not friendly at all. I will never stop here again. Pathetic service , I have laid a complaint with the manager. Its todays tough economy you will think people will want to keep their jobs.

Theres a lot of shops which is impressive for a petrol stop. The refreshments are always fresh and reasonable pricing. Its conveniently accessible from the N3 route to Durban n Joburg. Probably one of the most popular halfway points between Johannesburg and Durban to stop for a break and refuel. Has a great range of restaurants and take away options. I usually get a cup of Wimpy coffee as a quick and easy order when the place gets busy.Fuel attendant staff are welcoming, friendly and some are conversational to get you recharged and feeling great to continue your road trip.

Nice place to have something to eat and drink but it does not cater for people with small babies(no changing stations)

This is a very well stocked and convenient garage. The views of the surrounding mountains are also very beautiful. It has a touristic vibe and i recomend it as a great place to make a pit stop to fill your car with fuel and yourself with a snack or three.

Considering the large amount of cars coming through here, we were all super impressed. Wimpys service and food was outstanding, and even though there was a queue out the door, we received our drinks and food in record time. Toilets also very clean. Well done.

Traditional stop on the way to the Berg. It is busy most of the time and has grown to offer a variety of food options. Stop for fuel, use the loo and grab a bite. Its nostalgic every time you stop and feels like a little piece of home. Try park in view and not around the sides. Trampolines available for children (and adults)!

Superb stopping point along the N3. Wide range of facilities on offer in addition to normal facilities at the petrol station. Very busy and clearly a popular stop to travellers. Service at the petrol pumps was fast and Efficient. Various parking areas available to access the many restuarants and tourist help facility.

Great place to stop and stretch the legs. Dog and kid friendly with enough space to walk around, have a picnic on the grass and look at some animals!

Not recommended. We were shouted at for using a plug point to charge our electrical vehicle after the petrol staff told us they dont have a problem with us charging at their plug points.The petrol staff were excellent, friendly and helpful; management needs to go on a customer experience course.

I always make sure I stop here when traveling to the coast. Many restaurants and shops to go to and great from all of them It gets really busy at times but for me it all just feels like part of the holiday road trip.

Just stopped at Engen Bergview. Toilets perfectly clean and well maintained! Serious contrast to Engender 1 stop Bergview where toilets looked like they had never been cleaned!

Toilets near Nandos/Wimpy are In need of attention. Two no toilet paper, next one no lock and the toilet paper container in the next one broken.flushing mechanism also faulty. Not expected as usually great.

Excellent and quick service. And a great place to fill up and grab a bite at one of the restaurants nearby on your way down to Durban.

Good stop almost- halfway between Durban and Johannesburg. Big selection of restaurants, clean toilets, beautiful gardens-gardens- lots of roses. GPS can give misleading directions to this place.

Just got scammed at the pump, I arrived with between a third and a half tank, in my 55 litre capacity tank the attendant managed to put in 51 litres of diesel, with room to spare.

Good DayOn Sunday, 30/10/2016 weve stopped at Engen Garage en route to Pretoria for fill up. The extremely friendly fuel attendant, Paulos, was so proactive and without asking he did a visual inspection on the car and noticed that one of the tyres are deflated. He inflated again, thought that it might be valve leak, but as were about to drive off, he stopped us again, and said that the has noticed a nail in the tyre. Fortunately, I had a tyre repair kit in my car and he and his colleague fixed the leak.He saved our lives.It is so good to know that we have fellow citizens, that goes the extra mile and caring for their citizens.Once again, Thank you.

Disgusted by the audacity of this place taking huge advantage of the travellers charging R16.59 per liter petrol when 1-3km down the N3 road at Caltex fuel is R16.50.
