What a pleasant little gem, tempted for a 5 star, but a 4.5 star would be close. On site coffee roasting, their own barista, coffee beans from the most popular places like Costa Rica, Brazil etc. Would have been good to see more African sourced beans. Did see a Ethiopian Decaf. On roaster on site so fresh roast is available. Probably all automated and a set recipe.Very pleased to a coffee brand shop with all the mugs, caps, T-shirts, thermos and, various coffee roasts as well. Well laid out/decorated with occasional art pieces for sale as well. Shows good support for the local community.Alongside it is a little sweet shop with various candies, biscuits and two of my favourites, dates and stroopwafels.A little further down the passage is the closed off area (Covid Level 3 revised) of the wine store and the bar where cocktails and other liquid refreshments would normally be available.Had a double Espresso with some hot water on the side, the house (Camdeboo Blend) which was a little flat i.e. missing the fresh roast zing and some earthy chocolate flavours. Believe it is a blend of Indonesia, Costa Rica and Brazil beans. For breakfast, had their Eggs Benedict version, predominantly spinach, but, found it most enjoyable albeit a little cold. Will gladly pop in for another visit the next time I am in the area.

Lovely coffee shop and restaurant. There is a small coffee roastery which makes very good coffee which is served there and the beans can also be bought. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The open sandwiches are highly recommended. There is also a good deli selling a variety of goods. In summer it is lovely to sit in the shade of a large tree next to the fountain and there is also seating indoors for when it is rainy or cold.

Pretty cool spot. Lovely outside courtyard connecting all the stores. The food was just OK, but the coffee was good and there aren’t a lot of other options in town.

An ok eatery. The food was as expected compared to the menu. Pricey though for what you get when compared to other equivalent eateries.

A wonderful oasis in the middle of fascinating Graaff Reinet. The smell of coffee from the roastery tempts the taste buds and it tastes as good as it smells. The food is excellent too. My second visit and I will return!

Maria’s buys in sacks of coffee beans which they grind on site per their customers requirements, therefore the flavour and aroma is of a highly desirable quality. One won’t be disappointed with the excellent quality of coffee on offer instead one needs to be sure of the coffee type they desire. Maria’s is a must visit, enjoy the beverages on offer.
