What I like about Cape Union Mart is the personnel service. The staff are more informed about the products that your average general store. Great place to buy camping / hiking gear. Prices are a bit higher but so are the quality of the products. It can just be a bit harder to find this store in Baywest as they are situated on the first floor (checkers hyper side).

Very helpful staff. I think the inventory is quite wide and they have a lot to offer. The thermo tops are quite good. And I like that the staff are very patient when you ask questions. It makes the experience quite good. Its very spacious as well so you can walk about quite freely without bumping into people.

I have been buying from this store for years and had the best experience until today where I was lied to about the process of fixing the drake down jackets. I had enquired about repairs and was told that I need to pay courier fees and that they will be fixed for free. Upon bringing in 2 of the jackets I was given a higher courier amount than originally advised and also told there will be repair costs too after I had paid the higher courier costs.

Exceptional customer service. Definitely my favorite outlet to buy jackets and boots.

The gentleman that attended to me went over and beyond when I was looking for an international adapter from SA to other lands. Well done!!

Im extremely disappointed on the staff here at this branch! I have taken in a jacket about 10 weeks ago for repairs i was told that it takes 4 weeks no longer than 6 weeks! Myself and my wife have phone numerous times and they say they will get back to us,we have even been into the store twice and got told to us the lady that deals with repairs is off sick serously? Only one person? I used to buy all my clothes at this store or online 3 or 5 k at a time! I am disgusted in the drop of the service wich i always used to praise! Cape union you guys need to pick up your game!
