I have been waiting 2 days to upgrade my phone and contract. The people at the call centre dont answer the phone. The first day I sat for 6 hours waiting and today its been 6 hours and waiting. What customer service is that. I live 260km away and I have to pay a B&B while I wait for all this to happen and all they say is Im sorry well thats not sorting out the problem. This is costing me a fortune. Its just not good enough. This is just flippin ridiculous. I have been with MTN since cell phones came out and for the first time Im considering changing to a different provider.

What an appalling service!!! the kind of service that would make one abandon a network simply because they have ill mannered and lazy consultants, with a silly daily excuse that our systems are down or never pick up the phone. I regret the day I ever set foot on that Godforsaken shop! When that business sinks, (which will happen at the rate they are serving customers) and they have no jobs, I hope they remember how rude and unprofessional they were. They deserve a 0 or No star rating

I give them a 1 star since the person assisting me there since last year never contacts me to follow up on the issues with my contract they are dealing with. I have complained to the manager more than once and I get promised I will be called back later that same day... It never happens...

Pathetic store! I did a sim swop on Sat and the consultant never returned my ID ! I have been trying to call them to make sure that its still there, but the call get ended immediately! How does one get in contact with this or any other Mtn store in PE because none of the telephones get answered! 😠😡

Pathetic experience with MTN in Baywest. We stay about an hour and 30 mins away. Its not easy for us just to come through. Went for a upgrade Dec 2020 for my dad, they dont have the phone in stock but its fine it will be there in a week.Week later still no phone, thats fine theyll courier it in Jan 2021. Done deal.Jan came and went, at the end my sister was sent to check up on the progress of the phone, now shes not allowed to pick up the phone without an email.Finally my dad had to take time off from his work just to come through, find out that the contract was never admitted, he cant get the phone je wanted and had to settle for a cheaper, lower quality phone.Our whole family has been with MTN for years and never experienced this type of pathetic service with a MTN branch, if i could give no stars i would and if i could suggest something, is go and find any other mtn then that one. Staff was nice and friendly but service is absolutely horrible.

New LTE data sim card is not working. Already four days without internet. After making multiple calls, I drove all the way to MTN Baywest only to hear It will be working by tomorrow morning. No reason given as to why its not working in the first place. Employee professionalism leaves much to be desired as well. I left Telkom due to poor service, looks like MTN service is even worse.I will reasses this rating should the service I pay for, be delivered.

I would like to recommend Guy at the Baywest Mall. He was extremely helpful. After contacting the helpline and having to get nowhere and later having the phone put down in your ear, I was at my end, until Guy assisted me. Without giving me any grief he assisted me and I was done and out of the store within minutes. Guy your are amazing and an absolute asset to MTN. Keep up the amazing work you do.

Your service and attitude towards customers leaves much to desire and speaks volumes about your brand. I must applaud the staff there, when we went to apply for the cellphone contract, the lady there told us to wait for an sms notice advising us that the contract had been conditionally approved and to come to the shop to collect even though a consultant should be calling us for collection. She told us not to wait because the consultants usually take their own time calling. So after receiving the sms we went to collect the phone, the lady (Samantha) who helped us was so unprofessional calling for user id and password to access pc in order to activate sim card. After waiting for half an hour the user access had been locked and i was asked to come back in a few minutes which i refused to do. Another call was made to the manager asking permission to hand me the phone without activation. She promised to contact me once activation had been done. No calls were received. Furthermore the wrong colour phone was given to me which i refused to accept. I was told that the previous consulted never made a note of what colour phone we requested and that the phone cannot be exchanged after opening. 🤦‍♀️

EDIT: I have increased my review to 4 stars. I called the store and spoke to the manager, who investigated the issue with the contract and called me back. The clerk who helped us in store on the day apologised for the error on her side, assisted us in rectifying the issue in a very friendly manner and offered us a complimentary accessory to say sorry. Good example of turning a very unhappy customer into a loyal one.Shocking service at this store. Lazy, miserable woman served us when we went in to upgrade my boyfriends contract. He asked her for advice about what device he could get, she simply said he can look in the book. Once that frustrating experience was over and done, we find out she never finalised the upgrade on her system, so he is still getting daily calls from MTN sales asking him to upgrade, and he is not getting his contract data and airtime. They say their system does not show an upgrade. Useless!
