Hearing the steam trains horn send shivers down my spine ‼️‼️‼️this hour trip to Irene is awesomeness 🍾🍾🍾 ⭐️⭐️⭐️AND NOW ⭐️⭐️⭐️— my trip back home on this 100 year old steam train “Susan”💫💫💫♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️This had been an amaaaaazing day with Reefsteamers - Train Trips 🚂🚂🚂🚂

Great experience, the staff were awesome and really passionate about what they do, would highly recommend this trip.

It was awesome to relive my childhood, by having a ride on a miniature steam train. It offers a picnic/ Braai area, very clean. It also houses a train engines museum

Please think twice about this trip. I am very sorry to say but the organizers are reckless and unprepared for problems, which seems to happen on every trip. The train was an hour late, at the wrong platform. But that was the least of the problems. Once we got on the trip back home, we got stuck in the middle of nowhere for three hours. They were not communicating with us about what was wrong. When we started again, we progressed until Krugersdorp station and stopped again without explanation. Eventually we were given the choice to stay on and wait for the the train to be able to move on or uber home. It cost us R800 to get back to Pretoria. Although the train is beautiful and the staff friendly I was really scared in the end. I certainly dont recommend this trip at all.

The train was late and stopped at a different platform. After boarding we had to wait for the driver to arrive. Eventually left at 10:10. On the way home got stuck for 2hrs. After making it a little way past Krugersdorp station, stopped again and waited for a further half an hour. With no guarentees to get to Park station in time to catch the Gautrain home, we climbed off at Krugersdorp station in the dark and made our way home with an Uber at exorbitant additional costs. An absolutely disgusting and appauling experience!

What a bad and horrible vacation to start 2019 ,I was looking forward to a beautiful reefsteamer its first trip in 2019,thou the organization is said to be unprofitable but that was a bad experience we have experienced my wife and kid on her moms birthday,planning was pour the problem started in the morning when we were supposed to departure from Johannesburg workstation at 8:30 we delayed about 2 hours ,half the experience was good on the to trip and the fro was the worsed nightmare were the train couldnt travel for more than 30 minutes the worse part was at some point it stops at the veld and it was raining all of the sudden the signal couldnt be operated wirelessly from transnet control we should wait for technician for manual operations while awaiting for the technician Metrorail train passed us,now when reality kicks in we had organise Taxify/uber to takes us to Johannesburg park station where are our is parked,I had to pop out R200.00 for uber and set aside R85.00 for the parking rates that went up because of their delays.One of the bad days people will be mugged because of this .....

The most horrible experience my family had. 2 hrs late, 2.5 hrs stuck inside the train on the way back home. All the blame on Transnet, no back up plan.
