The welcoming we got was not nice, we were just given rooms by old man and he disappeared. We could not watch TV, no one available to help us. Secondly the rooms are too small and you share a bathroom with strangers. There is no sitting room for you to chat you just go to the room straight, we were 2couples that needed a chat but we could not. I dont recommend it for someone who want to go for a weekend there. We didnt enjoy at all because as you are sleeping the chef is busy at the kitchen and wake you up as he is busy with breakfast. There was no peace to us

Very lovely stay. Awesome reception and very neat. Safe parking, the facilities and food is of excellent quality. Better than stay than most places with a 5 star rating. Youll definitely leave happier than you arrived

We had a wonderful stay at Soeteweide, Mario was just fantastic and super friendly. We traveled for business and will definitely be staying here again. Everything was very clean and the room was huge with a huge bathroom. Breakfast was exceptional

Poor service. As a group of friends we would have loved more privacy to enjoy ourselves without any limits. Staff, cleanliness, service delivery is very poor. Our first night we encountered a mouse running across the kitchen floor. Dishes werent washed for us to make food. Overall quite low standards and definitely not as advertised.

It was disappointing and horrible. I spent 45 minutes at the gate. I made several calls without any reply. I decided to look for some other place around George.

Security is of concern to me because of the fact that I met a trespasser face to face at 3 am.

I feel it is a waste of my time to even put in writing how unprofessional this was managed.1. On route I was informed that my booking was canceled. - It was not2. Called back and said it was all sorted.3. I called back to inform that I might check in a little later due to travelling4. Arrived with 3 other cars of guests and had to wait an hour as the host was at the shop. - No apology5. We got moved to a next door AirBnB and was informed breakfast was still at the B&B - How inconvenient. - Still no apology, no explanation.6. The Deluxe King room booked VS that of the next door neighbor was not on par at all. - If it was not for the hospitality of the host of the AirBnB would I have made much more of a fuss.I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.

I booked at Soetweide in George for Dec 2020 which meant i paid a booking fee of R1250.00. Due to the speech of our president at the time he titled George as the hotspot for Covid and i had to cancel our trip to go to George. i spoke to a lady and we settled that the deposit will be be refunded but i must just have patience because of covid and finances etc etc and she asked if i would like to maybe come back in the future but i told her unfortunately not and would like to request my refund which she said would be no problem, i must just be patient, which i fully understood and said end of January will be fine. I have been phoning them for a month now and every time it is always, we will get back to you.. it has been 3 weeks of trying and they never get back to me. i would like my refund back and no way did it state that you cannot get a refund when i signed up to go and stay by them. In all honesty, they are technically stealing my money. if anyone is hoping to go and stay by them, either make sure you go and stay there and do not cancel because trust me, when you ask for your refund back , they will not do so. i know times are tough, but there are other people out there also struggling

Friendly, helpful, welcoming, quiet area with rural atmosphere. Close enough to everything, far enough to be out of the hustle. The best value fot my money ever.

Spent the weekend there and I must say....on the first day, We encountered mice running wild and the hostess was cooking hermeal so the place was already messy and filthy when we arrived. The rooms were clean, however the mice I consider to be a health hazard.The hostess badmouthed my group to other guests so I wouldnt reccomend this place to young people at all. The owner was more friendlier and more accomodating but one can only do so much.As a group of 5 men, we expected more privacy or atleast planning to separate us from other guests as the property is 2 homes merged as one.The advert says it is a spar and treatment but it feels more like a dormitory. I overheard one guest that complained about its being false advertising as they were on their honeymoon.Theres also a hole in the door. Im assuming thats how the mice got in. They used a brick to stop them from getting in so they already know they have an infestation.For the amount that we have paid, we could have done much better

Stay was great, couldnt stay for breakfast sadly, had to head out. :)A key or locking mechanism would be nice for the bathroom though haha

If you want your privacy then this is not for you.. Welcome was not that good but the service got better... Communication when there is a complaint should be better

Excellent service

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Thats where it ends. Its a 3 bedroom house with 1 shared bathroom. The TV was blaring on our arrival and checking is at a counter in the lounge. Open plan kitchen. No breakfast was served as advertised. Duty manager who left a post it note on fridge was not available. Some food in fridge was a week past expiry. Eggs had mold growing on them. Will not be back.

Staff were friendly but the pictures suggested the room had an en suite which it didnt. The shower was dirty and the entire place had a weird smell... not a good experience at all.

I am very disappointed and saddened with our experience at Soeteweide North B&B.It is by far the dirtiest accommodation that I have come across all my travels across the world. Cobwebs, mold, dust and dirt throughout. An absolute disregarded for guests hygiene and safety.It resembles more a backpackers than a guest house. I truly hope that you this establishment will make sure that no other guests suffer, both the emotional anguish and financial loss that we suffered.Note: We were offered a full refund by the live in manager, but to date havent received it.

We stayed here for 1 night, enjoyed our stay. They have got very nice rooms. The rooms i must say are competing with some of the 5 star hotels ive seen. Also had a pleasure of trying out the steam room, such an experience i must say.

We had such a lovely stay and were looked after very well. Their service was professional and friendly. I would recommend Soeteweide B&B without hesitation.

Pictures on the site do not correspond to the b&b. The property is not a big estate with rolling lawn, but a normal residential house. Very misleading, however the manager cooked a great breakfast

A pleasant stay. Perfect for those who enjoy watching Netflix, YouTube and DSTV as you have a smart TV accompanied by a comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious.

Misleading advertisement this place is more a backpacker situation than a BnB.Very small rooms with a common bathroom - not my thing.The stench was overwhelming. Inside there was a smell of urine.On arrival our beds were not even made. Everything was so messy. When you open the door to the braai room there was a unventilated dirty fire smell. When you open the window there was this blocked drain sewerage smell with a small back yard with a damp and mooshy lawn. The manager does not smell anything off coarse. The manager promised us to pay our money back in full. When we spoke to booking dot com later they said that they have to charge us. I dont trust booking.com any-more either. This place is a dump. The mortuary smells far better. This place should be inspected by the authorities of health and safety.
