Our vehicle wrapping experience with Characters Signs in George has been a hugely frustrating, inconvenient and costly exercise.After the first time the vehicle (an Isuzu single cab with canopy) was wrapped, we picked up several issues with the work, including damage to the interior door panel on the passenger side. The wrapping itself was appalling; ragged edges, wrinkles, bubbles and streak marks.We returned the vehicle Characters for a complete rewrap and insisted that the scratched door panel be replaced. Grieg asked us to send pictures of a vehicle we had wrapped by another company, which we sent as an example of how the trimming on a wrap should be done.When we collected the vehicle after the re-wrap, the workmanship was no better, despite them keeping the vehicle for 7 days (and over a weekend) to work on it. Instead of replacing the door panel, both the passenger and driver’s door panels had been sprayed to cover up the mistake and not replaced as we’d instructed.The vinyl wrapping was no better. Edges had been trimmed with a knife that had cut into the paintwork. Again, it was clear that the vinyl had been stretched in places and the printing was of poor quality.We’ve now had to bring the vehicle back to Johannesburg to have it wrapped for a THIRD time, and repair the damage done to the paintwork and door panels. As a result, it is now costing us three to four times more to have our vehicle branded. And this doesn’t include the revenue lost from having the vehicle off the road for almost two weeks.Grieg has not only refused to accept responsibility for his poor workmanship and damage caused to our vehicle but also refuses to acknowledge or respond to our emails. Yet, he had no trouble sending us a statement for the balance.We want to warn any other company or individual who is considering using Characters in George to wrap their vehicle (or provide any other service) to look elsewhere. You won’t receive the quality workmanship or customer service and you will have to resort to spending more money to fix their mistakes.

For any signage, screen printing, embroidery, number plates, banners, business cards, vehicle branding and soooo much more...this is definitely the place to stop.
