Ive been to Pepsi Pools many times as a kid. It is nothing spectacular, but the hikes to get there are really nice. The water is from the Swartrivier aka Black river and truly looks like Pepsi. It is also icey cold and great for a swim during a trail run or hiking.

This place made me realize that South Africa have many beautiful places that are rare to find. Who knew the black water? Not forgetting that water falls down straight from the mountains. It was my first time seeing and touching sedimentary rock, argh!!! I cant wait to visit again.

Really interesting! Make sure to park at NMU walk is shorter and nicer, just ask at NMU entrance staff they are friendly and helpful as to where to park.Once parked you can use the Google location for Pepsi Pools to follow the right paths 🙂👍For those adventurers that are keen you can scale the wall on the right its not very steep, to make your way to the top pools, the short bushy path is worth it! Beautiful hike through the forest. I would definitely recommend this hike to all beginners/intermediate level hikers. The trail has become slightly eroded at one or two parts due to bad weather but overall it is fantastic. The pools are great as well, although diving is not recommended as it contains shallow rocks.

Waterfall, stream, rocks, mountain, fresh air and all you need to experience it all is strong legs and time.

Great place for a picnic and a swim. Dont jump in though, there are rocks scattered throughout the water. As you walk upstream you will find many other nice spots as well.

Somewhat of a hike to get there, but its all worth while, sweat and pain if you want, lovely swim pool and good stopover to have the eats and drinks you brought with...enjoy the hike there and back...

Scenic spot not a long distance from safe parking. Located within a pocket of indigenous forest. A lovely spot to swim and enjoy a picnic. Preferable to walk in groups of 3 or more.

Cold refreshing swimming

Unusual stream rock pools and waterfalls, so called because of waters tannin rich dark clear colour

Its a bit of a hike, but definitely the hike is worth it. The pools will go beyond your expectations when reading Pepsi pools.

Wonderful hiking trails. Nature all over at the start of the trail youll see the beautiful George Dam with its little island its so serene and peaceful the when you take the trail leading to pepsi falls its amazing scenery and when you get there youll be mesmerized. I recommend everyone who reads this to go its really amazing

The Pepsi colour water gave the name of this beautiful place. It is surrounded by indigenous forest. One can relax sitting on large rocks enjoying the scenery around. It is a must to see!
