Cant wait for it to open again.
This parkrun is so exceedingly well organised by the volunteers. The route is mostly run on a well marked forest trail, giving participants a real sense of adventure, and the relief from the hot summer sun. Being a visitor, I was made to feel so welcomed. Ill definitely participate the next time I visit the George area.
Beautiful scenery and safe
One of my favorite parkruns of all time. In the botanical garden is beautiful. In the single track forest - twisting and turning - is fun and the atmosphere is positive
One of the best park runs I have been to. Well organised by a very enthusiastic and friendly team. The route is scenic and a challenging but extremely rewarding once completed.
Very nice run through the botanical gardens and the beautiful forest.
Scenic route through the local botanical garden and through the adjacent pine forest. Interesting trail and a popular way for lots of locals to start their weekend in an energetic way. Very popular with dog lovers who run with their dogs on leads. Strenuous in places but a thoroughly enjoyable way to start the day.
Make sure you do this Parkrun when in the area!A run between Botanical Gardens and Knysna Forest.Definitely one not to be missed Well organised and beautiful setting.Ample and safe parking.
Best PRun in the Country. So inspiring to see every Saturday morning at 8h00 about 400 - 700 enthusiastic walkers and runners doing their thing !!
Great run, had lots of fun. Thanks
Beautiful (but tough) parkrun, will be back.
Beautiful parkrun. I have done 15 different ones and this one is a strong contender for the nr1 place on my list!
Beautiful to run/walk in the forest. Friendly helpers.
One of my favorite parkruns in South Africa with a beautiful and fun route. Its definitely worth a visit every Saturday!
Best way to spend a Saturday morning! Great route and well organised!
One of the most scenic routes around, really great
Beautiful setting, friendly volunteers, course perfect level of difficulty.
It is not a gym, it is a Parkrun! If you do not know what a Parkrun is go Google it.It happens to be my favourite Parkrun, not easy and more like a trail run but, a very pleasant route indeed. Lots of dedicated participants bracing the moody George weather on Saturdays. Dogs allowed although only one per participant and on a short lease.
Excellent view and environment. Close to nature as can be
Great walk through the Gardens just need to take it slower next time to see more
Dog friendly, family event. The forest route is awesome.
Beautiful scenery ... well organised
The best Parkrun Ive been on so far.
One of the more beatiful Parkruns I have had the pleasure of running. If youre here, do it
Beautiful Parkrun, take your time and dont go for a PB
A truly beautiful Parkrun. The run starts at the top op the George Botanical Gardens and veers off into the nearby pine plantation, which create not only a beautiful setting, but provides some much welcomed shade for most of the route. Personally, Id say the route is for beginners up, although there are some ups and downs which might require some more effort than your normal round the block walk. Also, its more along a trail run, so 98% of the time you are walking on a dirt-track - watch out for those white-painted roots! Think of it as a walk in the forest.Ive seen a lot of people take their dogs with them on the Parkrun, so if youd like to bring your canine friend (on a leash of course), more than welcome. The Parkrun is organised and run entirely by volunteers, so consider helping out once in a while. The Parkrun is free, and you dont need any papers. However, its advisable that you register at the website and print the barcode. Take this with you to show at the end and it will give you an age category result, time and grade. Its quite nice to follow your progress over the weeks and months. Also for Discovery Vitality members, it counts 300 points per Parkrun, so a nice way to inch up towards that weekly goal-achieved reward. All in all, the Parkrun is a fun way to get some fresh air, kuier with a friend or two, or to get fit. I definitively enjoy it and look forward to each time I can walk it.
Love the fresh air and the exercise with my loved ones
