Good gym with friendly staff! The people working on the floor are approachable and kind, ready to help you when needed. Easy access to the biokineticists who are very skilled and helpful. The swimming pool is well maintained and the locker rooms are neat and clean. Well equipped to top it all of!

I go to the virgin actives in every town I visit. I enjoyed this one. The studio is probably the best one Ive seen and that aircon makes a HIIT cardio session bareable. The only thing missing is the Kauai which they are storing gym equipment in. Need that after workout coffee.

Virgen Active George is great because it has everything I would ever need out of a gym. The staff are also exceptionally friendly, welcoming and good at what they do. Its just an amazing experience to go to this gym

Staff were very friendly. I forgot my wallet in the bathroom and it was safely returned to me, for which I was so grateful. Equipment a bit outdated, but everything was clean and tidy. Would definitely visit again.

A very good club mostly because of the friendly staff. The facilities are what you would expect, and usually there are enough machines so as not to be left stranded.The locker rooms are very basic, but they do have lockers available. You need to bring your own lock though, and keep in mind that they cant be too thick as the locker holes are quite small. The ladies restrooms are clean and there are about 10 showers available, each with a soap dispenser. The sauna is not the best Ive ever been in, but its functional. There are hairdryers available and multiple plugs at two counters. Vying for a space at one of these could be challenging depending on the time of day you visit.There are water dispensers placed throughout the gym, and in case you forgot your water, you can either drink at one of the dispensers or buy a bottle of water.The gym also has a Kauai and the Internet facilities are located here. Its a nice place for a quick drink with a friend after a workout session.The kids facilities are also good, with enough playroom and friendly staff.the only problem Ive ever encountered at the gym is the swimming pool- sometimes warm, most often cold (or its just my luck).Overall experience: very good and I enjoy gyming there.

Charged my wife R190 for a day. She wanted to exercise for 2 hours only. No discount or any other options offered. The equipment is rusted. It is outdated, below standard. The layout of the equipment also seemed odd. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. 10 out of 10 for that.

Good:- friendly staff- clean facilities- wonderful programs for all ages- all equipment you could possibly needTo improve:- floor staff not as visible as they used to be in case of injury or questions from newcomers that need guidance- some of the current trainers consistently look very unhappy to see other gym patrons

I always enjoy working out here whenever I visit George. Although it is an older generation club, the equipment is good, the functional floor is spacious, spinning classes is great and the pool temperature is always decent. Ohh and the view of the mountains is fantastic.

Single entry takes time ... in Switzerland I could have bought a house during this time ... maximum air conditioner, you shoult take a Jaket with when you dint want be sick. Unfriendly receptionist, had to search the changing room by my self

Not the best organising skills amongst the admin and accounting staff, I have had extremely bad experience with my contract and dont even use the gym but pay the fees due to the lack of respect I have recieved from Virgin Active Head office.

Enjoyed the spinning class even though it was full to the brim and a tad too small for all rhe bikes crammed in there.

Nice gym and all but when we go late in the evening they say the gym will close in 30 minutes but 15 minutes later they switch off the lights and the machines Not very happy. I still had 15 minutes to finish my workout and I couldnt because the machines were off...

I will never join this branch of Virgin Active ever again. I had a few of my worst gym experiences here. The gym manager even followed me into changeroom to confront me about my comments after I recieved a call from head office to rate their service. Never again.

Everything one has come to expect from a Virgin Active is here. The fans in the locker room are a bit much - they do not need to be running at full blast on a cooler day like today.
