I want to thank the Healthcare worker from George Medi Clinic and Spescare who took care of me for 3 weeks. Everyone from the ambulance personal to the Doctors, nursing staff, careworkers, physiotherapists, dietitians, admin workers and the cleaners, you are all Angels with out wings. In ICU when I was on a ventilator you were my voice, my hands and my mother.I could not talk, use my hands and my legs had no function. You took me off the ventilator and you wiped my face. You often had to wipe my eyes and face because of ⁹the dry air, something my mother would do.When I was hungry you fed me and when I was thirsty you gave me water to drink. You had to bath me, shave me, brush my teeth and brush my hair.Nothing was to much trouble. Every morning when you came to greet me it was like golden sunshine entering my room. Around every corner you would find a smiling hero.I could feel the love all of you were spreading amongst the patients. The second week I was moved from ICU to another ward. In the ward I was taught how to eat and brush teeth but I still received bedbaths These ladies were so professional. They even washed my hair and shaved me. They took care of my swollen hands and feet by placing it on plastic gloves filled with warm water.Because of no family visits, they became my family. I lost about 10kg while being in ICU but the food was so good that I must have picked up some weight.Just when I got to know everyone I was taken by ambulance to a rehabilitation center called Spescare. One week of rehabilitation started. I had to learn to walk again, climb stairs and learn to balance. It was not easy at all. When I wanted to give up, the brave people of Spescare were there to give me support. Here I had my first shower while being evaluated. You get evaluated on everything you do.Day by day I improved.Daily I would receive a menu for the next daysmeals. Never was a meal repeated.Excellent meals every time.I will never forget these wonderful and beautiful people. They stood by me till the end and that was the day I walked out of SpescareYou are all very special HeroesGod bless all the healthcare workersI dedicate this song to all of you.

Can not think, that this facility, is rated as a private hospital. The Doctors are top nodge, but the hospital lags miles behind. Although there are a view nurses and sister, trying their best. The overall condition of the facility is not worth the price you have to pay. Tvs not working. No sound out of remotes. Beds are sqeeqie and unpleasant. Airconditioning poor. Rooms smelly, bedding old and weary. Getting worse everytime I come here.

We were there for the weekend and had to go to the emergency room and ended up pediatric ward. The admin staff were friendly and efficient. The nurses in the ward were friendly, well informed and helpful. The doctors in casualties, in hospital and specialists contracted in were also very efficient. All in all a good experience.

It is the best hospital that I have ever seen. Here doctors treat the patients with love and care. I have no words to say but seriously I want to recommend this hospital to cancer patients.

Unfortunately the doctors do not care at all about their patients. The sisters and nurses are slow and unattentive. The food is disgusting and the menu does not correlate wit the food received. I had a broken back but yet was just thrown around without care. Both stars received are only thanks to the physicians and physios who were absolutely amazing! They are the only ones that truly care for their patients and I felt they were the only ones not just in this industry for money. You pay a lot of money to be here but you get better service sleeping at a backpackers.Dont get sick or injured while in George because this is your only option as George general hospital is even worse and would receive zero stars.

While visiting South Africa (from USA in a tourist bus with 29 people), my wife had a fracture in ankle in Capetown. An ER doctor in Mediclinic Milnerton applied a temp cast and prepared an envelope to pick up moonboot from this Mediclinic George facility as we were leaving 5AM in the morning and this facility was on our way! The doctor who had moonboot was away a few blocks and guide of tourist bus was telling me that the bus will depart and leave us (me and my wife) to catch up later if we dont find this doctor with moonboot! A manager of the facility named Michelle (excuse me if I have a typo!) was extremely helpful in navigating our bus using her own Volvo sedan!!! I would call it the best act of humanity!!! Not finding enough words to describe her excellent timely gesture! God bless her soul with the best this world has to offer!!

My mom, 86, unfortunately became one of the Covid stats. She was in George Mediclinic for about 2 weeks & I would like to thank all the staff (first from ward G and then ward D) for their incredible service, help and patience for my mother (who was not the easiest patient). Also, your patience with me as a relative and the good as well as honest feedback that was given to me every time. You are amazing people who work in difficult circumstances. You abide in our prayers! Magda Maritz
