Waited 15 minutes for service...ask for extra hot beverage....beverage was served not as requested......when asked again ...waiter said oh I forgot. Waiter was a white lady.Was my second time there. Will not visit again

Lovely café for breakfast or lunch! Had some tasty scones here. Lots of different seating areas, not too busy and crowded. We visited at 10h00, and it was almost like we had our own private dining room. Friendly service too.

Great service and cheese cake

The food was incredible. We had breakfast and it was worth writing a book and sending it home just to describe it. Very special place this! The decor is also interesting and the little shop upstairs was worth a visit too.

Went here for the first time a week ago and have been back again since. The coffee is right up there with the best in town and the food is fantastic. Staff are very friendly and service is great. The place actually has a really nice setting and there is plenty of parking around the back. Would highly recommend.

When looking for somewhere new to try, we tend to go on recommendations, and Meade Cafe was recommended. The setting is beautiful, with lovely almost baroque decor, Its cosy, and has a lovely vibe. I loved all the quotes on the walls in the beautiful and colourful garden. Seating is available inside and outside under the trees and umbrellas. I found the food over priced for what you got. I wanted banting bread instead of a Panini and was told Id have to pay an additional R12.00 for 2 tiny pieces of bread. The bread couldnt have been bigger than a 5 by 8 cm slice. At R95.00 for a pulled Pork with Asian Slaw its really very expensive. Sadly it wasnt as good as it was made out to be. Sometimes I suppose all restaurants have a bad day. Maybe next time will be better.

An excellent place to grab a bite to eat in George, the food is great quality and tasty, prices arent too bad. Well decorated with a nice outside area, also very clean. The service is not what you would call fast, but thats not why you would come here. Perfect breakfast, brunch or lunch spot.

I absolutely loved our time at the Meade Cafe. Held a special lunch for my mother in law and Isabelle arranged everything, from beautiful flowers to the best cake ever! The food was divine and the other guests couldnt stop talking about how beautiful the table was. The staff was top class, so friendly and helpful. Thank you so much to all the Mead Cafe staff, it was truly a pleasure to be there.

My favourite was removed from menu, two of my first choice drinks were not in stock and no baby chair. I ate the beer battered hake (I think for the 4th time) and its always good.

Delicious food in lovely courtyard

Been there 3 times in the last 2 months. Something bothers me about the surliness of the waiters and lack of attention. Theres enough enthusiasm to get you seated and a menu shoved under your nose, only to leave you forgotten and straining to get the attention of the waitron, at all times including when its time to pay and begrudgingly leave a tip. You need to choose which day of the week is going well for the chef, theres no consistency in quality of the dishes. Dont sit outside, definately the forgotten zone.
