I wanted to like this place more because I had it on my George bucket list. We ate before we arrived so I cant comment on the menu and because it was a Monday afternoon, it wouldnt be fair to comment on the atmosphere either. But then I only went there for the beer. Maybe Im spoiled for choice back home or maybe this is what the locals prefer but they all tasted a little lite and after a while they started to taste the same. I did very much like the Celtic ale though, completely different from all that went before it. If you dont like a high IBU, definitely stop in, as far as tastings go I think these guys are very reasonable in their asking. Also, there is a gin tasting that they pair with different fruit cordials.

Very nice food and vibrant atmosphere. Ideal to unwind and relax after a long day at work. Speedy service and prices are really fair. Craft beer 🍺 is a must have.

Friendly, helpful staff and a relaxed atmosphere make for an awesome night out. Also open for lunches. Good off-street parking. Well-priced menu, interesting home brew beer options as well as an extensive cocktail menu with virgin versions available.

Awesome place to go. Vibe is awesome. Good pizza and if you are lucky you get to see the power trains go by.At night it turns into a proper bar with loud music, drinks and a good time. Lasts around 2am in the morning.

Good atmosphere. Went in for rugby semi finals. Good thing we reserved as the place had every seat filled. Will be back.

Best burger Ive ever had. Effort and detail in the sauce, the patty and the flavour. Service was excellent and waiters were properly trained. Beer was fantastic.Highly recommended to anyone with high expectations.You will be pleased.

Very friendly staff. The venue itself lacks a bit of atmosphere.Beers are fair, but not brilliant. They are better than commercially produced beers, but not of the same standard of the beers made by the likes of Darling, Devils peak, Woodstock and Jack black

Food, ale and service all first class.

I went here after an interview with a company for lunch. They do this weird thing where they peg your steak knife into the middle of the wooden plank your food is served on ( through your meal). It is hard to get out and in the process I got cheese sauce all over my face and clothes. Most embarrassing and I didnt get the job, hope it was nothing to do with this incident. Atleast their beer selection is good. Pity I didnt take a pic before removing the knife

The craft beers and tapas completely exceeded my expectations. The restaurant have a warm and friendly atmosphere and the barman came over a few times to ask our oppinion about the beer. On a cold rainy day, with a warm fireplace, this made the visit to George so much more pleasant.

The waitresses are amazing, super friendly and very helpful. The burgers were really delicious.However, when it comes to the cleaninance they are a bit poor at that. We found a HAIR in one burger. The chef was smoking outside then went inside prepaing our burgers with no gloves !!

A good place to chill and enjoy sport with friends, its not a place to take your whole family though, just be warned they do not sell beers or alcoholic beverages from SAB. prices are fairly reasonable and they have the best burgers in George. They dont make nice pork ribs though and the service is very very good

The gourmet milkshakes are now plain and boring shakes. Not worthy of a picture. Not impress at all.

Amazing burgers! The best Ive ever had. I have tasted the Bon Jovi, Madonna and Koos Kombuis and they were all 10/10. Very professional waiters and the beers are great. Our food arrived on time and simultaneously with the rest of the table. Everyone on the table were impressed. 10/10 would do again.

Went there for lunch. The smell of the brewery was overpowering in the restaurant. Took a seat outside. The waitress was not very interested, service was slow. I decided to finish my drink and went to another restaurant.

A very expensive place to enjoy good food. The food was great. Thier burgers are very nice. What I hated was first thier beer. Awfull stuff. Secondly they serve your meal on a wooden plank. This is a no no. I have read, heard a lot of people getting diarrhea from these planks.It was noisy but after all the food was tasty.

Absolutely horrible, DONT come here. the slowest service, they messed up 2 of our orders, and didnt bother to change it on the bill. On top of that, they made us wait 30mins for the first drink order they got wrong. Worst service of my life. They didnt even clean the table, there was cigarette buds on the table. Dont come here.

This is my favourite restuarant.They have the most deliscious burgers and the Jalapono starter is always a winner if you prefer spicy food otherwise the Chicken Strips or Onion Rings are just as good.They have a option of beer tasting that I would recommend you to try all of their beers. Great place to hang with friends and some nights they have live music that gives the restuarant that extra bit of atmosphere.
