Good customer care, almost the whole stuff. The manager was so helpful too, regarding my problem yesterday.

Nice clean store but management and some of the tellers really need to go on a course for customer care. They dont smile or greet you, and some of them have long conversations with each other and act as if you are inconvenience them.

Impressed with this Checkers being the smallest of the 3 in town (+ York St and Eden Meander). It does have a Medirite pharmacy with highly skilled and friendly staff. The deli has scrumptious food. The wine section is closed on Sundays due to WC regulations. It has the normal range of fresh fruit and veg,frozen foods, diary, and the ordinary household products.

This Checkers has been around for ages and is a common place for most locals to do their shopping. It hosts quite a variety of products, but is the smallest of the three in town (the other being in York St and Eden Meander). It does have a Medirite pharmacy with highly skilled, competent and friendly pharmacists. The deli has good food, the bread section is a tad lacking, the wine selection is good (closed on Sundays due to WC regulations) and the stationary/home sections are adequate. It has the normal range of fresh F&V, frozen foods, diary, large cheese selection, dry foods and household/health/toiletries products

Convenient supermarket which is centrally located. A wide variety of items offered and is a popular shopping store in George. Operating hours are convenient for shoppers. Have never had a bad experience at this store.

They supply old food- their pies claim to be baked daily but are a few days old- the pies when baked are greta but only happens once in awhile-their attitude is rude and ignore you when you ask for something.

The complex has a nice new coat of paint otherwise its just a regular old checkers from my experience.

John West tuna is caught using destructive fishing methods, which are harmful to other marine life, such as sharks and turtles.Basically the nets completely disrupt the ocean floor totally , what happens to these creatures is appalling. I would like to ask the managers of Checkers why they are then still stocking this product.Go on to Greenpeaces website to see why all Supermarkets in UK apart from Sainsburys are taking John West off their shelves.Check out what pressure Sainsburys is being put under to do likewise.We need to do the same in SA.

Easy parking right in front of the shop...find most of the time everything I need at this shop and they keep upgrading with new products.

Not a bad selection, but considering the size of the place, they are missing quite a few items that I have found in smaller supermarkets. Every time I have been there, it has been busy, and they only open a small number of check out tills, creating long queues.

I lost my R3000 NSFAS allowance at those cashiers

Its a supermarket. Nothing to complain about in particular so that must count for something, right?

It is always nice to go there as I live close to it.Because of my disability,I like the amount of disability parkings.convience shopping and I like it that there is a FNB atm.there are normally some products that is cheaper than at another certain supermarket group.it is also good that there are some other shops. The sausage rolls and steak pie is the best.

Since they installed the new car jamming detection sirens and additional CCTV by AdCam advertising, the center feels more secure. With the new revamp of the stores around checkers, the vibe is fresh!
