My Favorite Campsite! The Manager is super helpful and had a Excellent Weekend away....

Green grass and nice views over the Gaansbaai harbor make for a pleasant place to set up camp. The ablutions need a bit of attention. An upgrade and good cleaning scrub is recommended. The shower heads need replacing as well as sorting out issue of water interruptions when someone else opens hot water elsewhere in the building...

Fabulous campsite right on the seaside. Owners most welcoming. Location accessible to town for any supplies you might need. We will definitely be going back 🤙

Such an amazing location and the bathrooms are neat and tidy

A

Review №12

Very relaxing camping area. Right in fornt of the sea. Awesome play gym for the kids to have fun. Ecah camp site has n braai place. The shops are walking distance from the camp site. It is an afforsable camp site with the best view.

A
Review №13

Security guards do patrol in the evenings which is a good thing.Did not receive much issues from the staffThere are no designated/clearly marked campsites. The sites for tents are a bit small.Upgrade to be done on the ablution blockNo light for washing area as well as a bit of an odour due to stagnant water.Ladies bathroom require sanitary bins from steiner/bidvest.Power supply is very limited, you would need to ensure you have a 10m (or more) power cable in the event your site is located far from the power point.

Review №14

Very small place . Not much to do there. Just drove in and stayed for 10 min and drove out.

A
Review №15

Charged our batteries, ready for the weeks to come!!! Clean ablutions and views to die for!

A
Review №16

Beautiful sea and harbour views. Southern wright whales visit during winter. Dhark cage diving close by. Wonderful rock pools and beautiful beaches close by

A
Review №17

Although favorable situated in Gansbaai, the property is a bit run down and the neighbouring industrial area doesnt make it any nicer. Facilities are in close to okay-ish condition, but few for the twenty-something places for caravans. There is some spirit here to decorate the ablution blocks nicely, but then again its a bit old and somewhat not too tidy.

A
Review №18

Close to ocean. Ablution is fair. A bit exposed to wind, but beautiful view. Not much shade. Close to town centre

A
Review №19

Lots of things here to exploreThe campsite right on the coastline. Lots of shells to pick up and a nice hike along the coastline. Good ablution block.

So very beautiful

A
Review №22

Great camping spot, with strict security. So you are save while enjoying yourself.

A

This is the most beautiful place, very quiet just the way I like it and the sea is on your doorstep.

A

Small caravan park overlooking the harbour.

Very nice camp site

A
Review №26

It was amazing.Me and my Family loved it

A
Review №27

Basic, but clean house. Great sea views and view of the harbour. We had strong winds and rain for a few nights. My biggest recommendation to the owners would be a undercover braai area shaded from the wind. We enjoyed our stay.

Safe and lovely stay

A
Review №33

Nice place to visit

A
Review №34

Good sized camping spots, each with its own braai. Clean ablution blocks. Pet friendly. Well priced. All in a lovely little coastal town.

A
Review №35

Panoramic view of ocean. Interesting and beautiful surroundings. Caravan and camping facilities good. Affordable.

A
Review №36

Very neat and clean campsite. Friendly people. Grass stands. Well maintained. Clean bathrooms. Close to harbour. The only downfall is the smell from the fisheries on the harbour...that could spoil a braai. Otherwise a place that we will return to in the future.

A
Review №37

Quiet camping ground. Norman always give a helping hand. Every one is so friendly. And its also pet friendly

A
Review №38

Located just a few meters from the harbor and sea front, and a few shopping complexes, so stocking up on supplies is very convenient, the camp sites have electric power points with the standard caravan plug needed to access and lawn for comfort. One can pitch a tent or caravan and there are Chalets available too. Security is good with constant visible foot patrols which just gives that extra peace of mind in todays day and age in South Africa. The ablutions are basic and are kept very clean by contractors to the local municipality, toilets, showers, hand basins are all adequate.Toilet paper is limited so take your own along just in case. The plots each have its own cement braai, but you must take along your own braai grid. The harbor is close by within leisurely walking distance. The tarrifs are a bit high in my opinion, but I guess that is just me, we visited on the Heritage Day Holiday weekend, so the harbor area was abuzz with actively with live music food and craft stalls, with Anton Goosen making an appearance. So if you want a nice quiet camp or if you are more of the explorer type, Gaansbaai Caravan Park is a good option when in that area.
