Came here specifically to buy wine and the service was shocking. The prices were good but oooh, please train your staff properly. I nearly walked out empty handed out of sheer frustration.

Food was awesome service was bad. Ran out of buns for burgers had to ask again and again for wine

My family, friends and I - who were on the Wine Tram - went to this place in error, thinking it was Franshhoeck Cellars, the place we actually wanted to go for lunch. By the time we realized our mistake, we had already ordered, so we stayed. What a huge disappointment! The fact that we were the only ones eating lunch there should have tipped us off. First, the three wines they served us for the wine tasting didnt correspond with the descriptions on the menu. Then they screwed up my order not once but twice. I ended up getting my lunch to take away. The more I walked around the other wine estates with my brown bag lunch, the hangrier I got. Apart from that, they told us they were having a three for the price of two pizza special, so we ordered that. When the bill came, sure enough they charged us for three pizzas. The Wine Tram people felt so bad that they gave me two free bottles of wine. I would have preferred a refund or lunch at Franshhoeck Cellars.

I really enjoyed our visit here! Beautiful scenery and a lovely outdoor but cozy feel. The service we got was fantastic! The pizza was different to what you would expect, but definitely worth it and very tasty. Overall a great experience!

Service a bit slow on a Sunday afternoon, staff were inside chatting more. Hot chocolate was also served cold but the setting is beautiful.

Terrible service. I came from Brackenfell while my friends were already there and ordered thier Pizza. When I arrived the food was still not served. Then waited another 45 mins for that same meal. I ventually went to get it myself as there was 5 complete and 4 more still being made. The waiter gave us a 1 pizza from another table. Initial rounds of drinks was amazing.the second round could not be replicated due to supervisor making the first round and the next guy could not replicate - also waited about 40+ minutes for replacement drinks that never arrived. We drove past so many other places on the advice of another business, but definitely will not go there again.

The Melorie Jane jazz Trio was fantastic. Loved the place and hospitality.

Dont get me wrong, the view across the valley from here is one of the best you will find. The decor and setting - beautiful. Unfortunately the poor service was just too much. The most attention I got was from Angelo who did the Covid protocols on my arrival. I went there to taste some wine. After 15 minutes and not a sip of the grape past my lips I was almost crying with frustration - please just let me taste some wine! In fairness to the waitress they have a complex range of tasting options.Bottom line (and I may be wrong) but I got the newbie waitress because the more experienced ones were waiting for the wine train which arrived shortly after me with two groups of +- 5 to 8 people each plus some others and the one group seemed to get fairly quick service. Then they mucked up my bill, so another delay. To the proprietors of this establishment - Shame on you for not training your staff and spoiling what should have been a 5 star experience. Even more of a shame because the three wines I did taste werent bad, but too little too late.

You overlook vineyards and the Franschhoek wine route tram does pick ups here as well. They also have some lovely merchandise, especially liked their leather bags. Their wine prices did feel a bit too steep though.

Great little spot at the entrance to Franschhoek. Very modern (with antique decor) wine bar. Laid back atmosphere. Had a delicious Salmon Viglitelle. Cant wait for summer to go and enjoy sundowner on their deck.

Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Live DJ. Situated on Franschoek Wine Tram route.

The service was very good and the food was very tasty . I would recommend anyone to take a break there and enjoy the atmosphere and food.

We had a terrible experience. Waiters falling over there feet., disorganized no screening, We had to ask for our table to be sanitize as it was sticky. Pizza oily, spring rolls was burnt. We end up not eating our meals, paid our bill and left. We definitely won’t be back.

Superb pork belly and yellow tail. Such delocious flavours. Started with a fabulously interesting winetasting by Kathy from DGB and ended with a delicious Old Road Wine Co Chenin Blanc.

Good location adjacent to vineyards. Service okay. Pizza was extremely salty and very oily but had reasonable flavour. Also toilet out of service unsigned so wasted 10 minute waiting for facilities despite multiple staff passing.

Enjoyed a very nice lunch there today. I had confit duck & my friend had pork spring rolls. He The portions were good. We enjoyed the extensive selection of wines by the glass. Will definitely visit again

This is a fairly new place but they have an amazing lineup of wines, as well as a few beers on tap and other drinks. The wine tasting room is superb and well worth the visit. You wont leave without good memories.

Beaufitul setting under huge trees, providing lots of shade on a sunny day. Nice music! Not their fault, but the noise from the busy road tends to become annoying. BUT, the food and service is terrible. I always wondered why there are hardly people, even during peak season... now I know why. If you just want to relax in a nice setting with good wine though, do visit. But, thats it!

The best place I have been in all of Franschhoek. Absolutely amazing, the food is fantastic and the service on point! Definitely coming back (for the 3rd time) coz I know they never dissapoint. This is the place to be when you want a settled atmosphere to just chill!!! Worth the 5 stars!!!!

Top class, excellent food, Risotto one of the best Ive had, Juliette Sauvignon Blanc awesome for the price you pay, bacon pizza a bit heavy with cheese, otherwise superb, no brainer, well be back with family and friends.

Very commercial. Asked questions about the climate and soil and they hadn’t a clue. They don’t grow their own grapes. It is essentially a pub.
