Food was absolutely delicious. Warm and cosy inside and our waiter was friendly and efficient.

Authentic Indian cuisine. We had a great meal, unfortunately the service was a bit slow as there was only one waitron to attend to all the patrons. Everything was prepared fresh and was delicious.

Small restaurant in Franschhoek offering delicious Indian food. Under lockdown level 4, they offer takeaways with a 15% discount. Such a kind gesture. The prawn curry was ordered ‘hot’ and was such a treat in the rainy weather.

My fiancé and I made a reservation for dinner. When we arrived I realized it actually looks like a dingy take away joint, but decided to give it a try.It was exceptionally hot in the restaurant, so we asked if we could have a table in the courtyard and the “manager” said no we can’t.A group of white guys came in and asked if they could sit there, and immediately the waitress/cashier (yes there is only one) runs to set a table for them, while we remained squashed up against the side door.We waited about 45 minutes for our food, a few people arrived to get take aways (obviously a bigger priority than in restaurant diners.)What a disappointment!! Tikka chicken kebab was super dry, prawn curry had more leaves in it than anything else and arrived with a thick “skin” on it as if it had been standing on the pass under a heater for way too long.The butter chicken tasted sour, we didn’t even eat more than a spoon full as the sauce didn’t taste right.We as a couple have dined at over 15 different Indian cuisine restaurants as it is our favourite. When we asked for the Bill the “manager” noticed we had barely touched our food. Her remark “oh so you clearly didn’t like any of it? Or do you want a take away?” We declined the take away box, and just mentioned that we expected different flavors and quality.She then just pulled a confused face and said “oh well ok”. No apology, no explanation nothing. Just a loud sigh.I don’t even care that we wasted money there. But the service alone was shocking. Clearly we’re the wrong skin colour to get a decent table. And the food was sub-par. NEVER again.

Well priced and amazingly well flavoured curries. Will definitely be back!

We are delighted to finally have a decent Indian restaurant in Franschhoek. Amazing food and friendly owners and staff. Absolutely fabulous all round experience cant wait to go back.

We made a booking for a special dinner in Saturday. We arrived at the restaurant to find a fully packed restaurant with no social distancing and a table reserved for us in the doorway of the tiny restaurant. Not acceptable at all and a huge letdown to risk the health of all.

Wasnt in the least bit impressed, poor service, food not up to standard, wont be returning at all. Will pass on my experience to my friends and family. I was treated like a second class citizen.
