Decent wines and fairly priced wine tasting. You can select 6 different ones for 50rand. The service is good and quick. Lots of variety but there are some that weren’t my taste.

Great laidback atmosphere with a nice undercover kids play area for kids under 1.2m tall. The Franschhoek Cellar MCC is amazing and well worth ordering. Generous food portions but the menu options are a bit limited.

The wine and cheese pairing was very nice in the beautiful tasting room and friendly staff. Had lunch but regarding the food it is quality and not quantity. Small portions but delicious. Just a pity of the bad service that we received from our waiter. Otherwise nice day outing! The sweet pairing is also very nice. Six wines and nice treats

We had a fun time here at Franschhoek Cellar and loved our quick stop here off of the wine tram. We came to do a quick tasting and were so pleased with the great view and super nice staff. The wines all had a different story and were quite delicious.

We had a great experience in terms of tasting wine and eating.We were nicely hosted in the tasting area and well served with awesome food. Besides we had fantastic support with our little daughter in the kids play area.The prices are very reasonable and the winery is just worth visitingThe mushroom tagliatelle were some of the best pasta dishes Ive had in years and the fillet steak was just divine.Definitely and highly recommended!

What a joy to have visited this venue. From the time we parked till we were dropped at our car again, was 5 star quality. Thank you for making us feel at home. Our waiter were tops and made each one of us from young to old feel comfortable and relaxed. Would gladly visit again.

Franschoek Valley.... A piece of heaven. Experience Franschoek Cellar, its a must visit. Hop onto the Franschoek Wine Tram and have the greatest wine tasting experience ever. Highly recommended!!

Waited a long time to be received and seated. After about twenty minutes waiting at our table, no waiter and no service. Customers at the table next to us said they placed their order for food an hour and a half ago and still received nothing. We eventually got up and walked out. No waiter or staff member questioned us. The table was also not ckeaned fir us before we were directed to the table. No appropriate covid control at the table in my opinion. Cant comment on the food or wine.

Portia at the tasting room is the best wine tasting hostess. She made our experience so amazing! The wine was at perfect temperature and the sweet treat pairing was wonderful on the pallet!I would definitely recommend the sweet treats tasting at Franschhoek Cellar with Portia!5 stars.

Very disappointed. Ruined our entire wine tram experience. Made a booking. Seated by the hostess. Sat for over 15 minutes without anyone serving us. Eventually got up and left.

Shasta is a gem, nothing too much effort.Good wines, good food and comfortable setup.

I went for the 6 wines and 6 cheeses tasting.... they serve 3 white wines first and used fresh glasses. When it was time for the 3 red wines they reused the white wine glasses that still had some of the white wine in it...

Our food was delicious and very well priced... BUT the service that started off well worsened as the lunch continued (no salt and pepper or enough cutlery on table, same meal ordered by 4 of the guests but 2 had sauces missing off their plates). By the end of the meal we had our empty plates in front of us for a half hour before having to beg someone to come and help us and just give us the bill (didnt want to dare coffee or desert after that).

Lovely hospitality and great wine selections. Wish they sold the chocolates in small pieces and not big slabs. The variety was absolutely delicious!

Enjoyed the Blind wine tasting activity as well as the great food and hospitality. Very spacious garden and patio area for dining and inside the cellar the atmosphere was amazing. Compliments to Merle and the staff that hosted our group of 9 colleagues on 12 Oct 2019. Will be sure to recommend this establishment to everyone I know.

Was looking for a few bottles of wine for my father.When entering the gate, I was approached by a friendly security guard who swiftly guided me to a parking spot. Another then drove me with a golf cart up to the cellar.The lady at the wine tasting area was super friendly!She assisted me in finding the best possible wine for my dad.Thank you! 👍🏼

You made my day extra special and stress-free.Thanks to the chefs for the amazing food.We also stayed on the premises at the Rose and Protea cottages- it was beautiful and so comfortable!!Last but most certainly not least-Chanel (events coordinator), how can I ever thank you enough for seeing to all detail and making sure everything run smoothly! Very nice place to go with family. Nice food and drinks. Great kids play area, its very safe and child friendly.The only downside is that its very close to the main road and you can hear the noise of the cars the whole time.

Had a fantastic wine and cheese pairing. 100% recommend a visit. We visited 3 vineyards in the region. This was the best for a tasting experience.

I went with my kids and after a long drive, they were willing to play before sit and eat. I left them in the play area, which is very nice but the waitress was pressuring me to order something. The thing is that we went for wine, cheese and chocolate tasting and those are inside, in a way that I could not take care of my toddlers while tasting. I liked but felt uncomfortable with this lady.

The involved lady watching the kids in the play area, the convenient golf cart from parking lot to front door, friendly waitresses and delicious value for money meals made for a delightful afternoon experience.

Truly a hidden gem in the winelands. Thoroughly enjoyed the pinotage tasting and may have found a new favourite in the stone bridge. Wish the restaurant had been open, but definitely coming back to give it a try. 10/10, would recommend with out a doubt every time.

Today, my family and I went to visit this establishment, as we spent a few days in Franschhoek, and this was one of the places recommended, with a play place for kids.We went and were told the restaurant was close, as there was a wedding today and we could have wime tasting only.My wife wanted to try the wine tasting, while the kids played. One of the waiters told us we could sit in the area, where the wine tasting was, at table 30,if can recall, as it was closest to view kids playing in play area. It was a bit warm inside, so we went to move, just opposite, to the tables outside, then were told that we cant sit there, its reserved for the wedding guests, but no obvious reservation signs nor reserved anywhere, while other guests sat there as well. We then moved back inside, to same table, I went to two ladies, clearing up a table, nearest to the wine tasting area, and asked that we be served, she said where we were sitting they do not do the wine tasting there, but its in the same area, I advised her, the previous waiter guy ,said we could sit and he would attend and she continued to say they dont do till there and if he wants to do it, its on him.What bad service, no apologetic manner of speaking, no we will make a plan, as the wedding taking up seats outside, where, clearly wine tasting was offered.We left this sad establishment and will never be back, nor recommend it to our friends or anyone we know.Attitude truly sucked and is rather sad, as we have had good experiences at the other restaurants we spent time at on our stay.Your establishment put a damper on our visit there.

The restaurant and tasting rooms are well situated as you enter Franschhoek. Beautiful garden dining areas with great views and plenty of space for kids to play, including a supervised play park. There is a good selection of dishes on the menu and a kiddies menu. Plus a good selection of wines at very reasonable prices. Slow service, on a quiet weekday, from a patrionizing waitron spoiled our experience. The spacious tasting room has great spaces, a wide selection of wines and friendly staff.
