If you need to make a stop in Ermelo, then this is a great alternative to the regular franchise restaurants. The decor is interesting with a artistic expression.We had breakfast that was well prepared and well presented.The service was friendly and efficient.Covid regulations are observed.

What an amazing experience having lunch in our car. Service and food excellent. Would recomend to all, fair prices. Would be nice if they could print coloring pics for children with crayons, just to keep them busy for a while longer so that mom and dad can finish their meals. Great job guys :)

We visited this restaurant in the evening due to a tip of our host. We really enjoyed the atmosphere in this location. There are lots of road signs and even a tractor in the restaurant and everything is decorated with a lot of attention to detail.The food was tasty and the service was really friendly. We can recommend a visit at Madness!

What a stunning jewel and treasure! One of the most well adorned eateries Ive ever seen! Quaint and full of antiques and just beautifully set out! The person/s who decorated this spot sure is talented! Had a wonderful breakfast. Recommend you seriously put this on your to visit list! Blessings!

My initial rate of four stars was blemished by slow service and inaccurate communication. My husband ordered a beef curry with rice and it arrived after a long wait served with chips. Waiter needs more training.

The service and atmosphere is super. Loved the mad hamburger . Decor is awesome and fun to admire.

Extremely slow service as we waited for almost an hour for just the starters. Dagwood party was too salty. The interior design was good and represents the restaurant name as the decor is quite busy and loud.

Has alot of potential prices are decent but it takes ages to get a drink and a meal staff need to be trained better and there need to more people working at a time

Extremely poor food and service. When we complained about the creamy pesto pasta we were told we do not know what pasta is and that this is how it’s made. I am no Italian however as you can see in the picture, the ‘pasta’ looked unappetizing and inedible. It was overcooked and drenched in a thick-cream soup, no chicken or pesto to be seen on the plate. We were told that we should accept the food and that we are ungrateful even though we were paying customers. Eventually I was told by the owners wife that I am not welcome back to the restaurant because I was dissatisfied.Please don’t waste your money or time. I was extremely disappointed by the service and the way the owners/managers handled this matter. I do not recommend it all.

Poor service by the owner/manager not resolving a complaint of overcooked steak looking like roadkill. Very disappointed because the atmosphere is great and location is good. Remember that its not only the drinking customers who needs to be kept happy.

Only stopped briefly for a coffee en route to Joburg, but coffee was great. Beautiful, eclectic decor with lots of attention to detail, even the bathrooms. Bar area looks very sociable & vibey with great balcony outside. Ample parking & friendly staff

The food and the service is superb

We went there all excited and all. Ordered a medium steak. Waited for about an hour.Received an extra well done steak, returned it cause I’m not a fan.Then they brought a blue (very rare) steak after that.Had one bite then asked for take away claiming we had to go as it was late (got home and cooked the steak).The owner was absolutely amazing though. 10/10 for her but the cooks and waiters were awful. I wanted to go back (and still do) but my girlfriend never wants to see that place again

If youre looking for a beer and a pub meal, this place ideal. Awesome decor, big TVs for sport, friendly staff. A road trip that goes through Ermelo would not be complete without a quick pitstop here.
