Beware when moving your kids. We moved house in January and relocated to another town. We gave notice to the school. Didnt receive an acknowledgement or confirmation of cancellation. No further invoices or statements were received. Today I found out that Curro Edenvale Independent School have handed me over for collection for outstanding school fees for 4 months! Read their Ts and Cs carefully and think twice before signing. They need a TERMs notice. Never mind that we gave them notice before the school year started!According to their system, the dates that the notice was given and captured in their system result in an additional 4 months being billed for. Over R20 000! For a service not rendered. Never mind that they were able to easily fill that seat with another learner, as it was before the year started. So please help me understand where the cost of this cancellation affected them? Try and do this in any other business or industry and your customers and clients will tell you to take a hike.Greedy, opportunistic and quite frankly disgusting.
