In view of the rating from Mr Dippenaar, we as the owners of Handy Aid see it necessary to respond to the comments made.1. We were instructed by Mr Dippenaars Insurance Company to attend to an inspection after a leaking geyser was reported.2. An appointment was made for 11.00am and our vehicle tracking system confirmed our teams arrival at 11.09am.3. Procedures require us to make an onsite inspection to confirm : a) maintenance necessary?; b) burst geyser under warranty?; c) electrical fault?; d) burst geyser?4. It is not standard practice to carry various geyser makes and sizes in our vehicles, and once the inspection has been completed and the problem ascertained the necessary stock is purchased while our staff remain on site to make the geyser safe - should a replacement be necessary. Parts are carried for maintenance and the repairs are done immediately. Warranty claims are reported to the manufacturers before our team leaves the site.5. Mr Dippenaar refused our plumbing team access to his property to ascertain the problem, as he was of the view that it was a burst 300L solar geyser and we needed to replace the entire system.6. An inspection was done on a second visit (2 days later) and we found a burst 150L electrical geyser, of which we did have stock at the time. It was not a solar geyser as Mr Dippenaar claimed.7. Mr Dippenaar confirmed that an alternative settlement will be negotiated with his insurers.
The worst possible service. Arrive an hour and a half late. Dont phone to say they will be late. Then they dont bring the geyser that we agreed on. Dont use them.
