On average, saltwater fish Ive bought here have been healthier and in a better condition than most other saltwater fish stores Ive purchased from. I suspect they use reliable suppliers for their fish. The tropical freshwater section is excellent with lots of variety, including hard to find species.

The aquarium fish are always healthy and in good condition. Unlike some other pet shops that usually have white spots etc after you take them home. Variety varies, they do not many exiting new species but they have the usual common fish. Purchased a bunch of white clouds for the pond outside which are doing well.

This is honestly one of the best stores I have visited for pet fish. The staff are extremely honest and knowledgeable, you can definitely see that they care about the fish and their well being. As a newbie to the hobbie, I always receive great advice and never feel forced to take multiple products. All my livestock from this store have been healthy and happy. I thoroughly enjoy every visit to this store and the staff are always welcoming, even if I am just there to look around. The variety of stock is impressive and everything is so reasonably priced. Keep up the brilliant work.

I went to buy a doggie jacket and the sales lady at the front was so rude and unfriendly , you would think in this economy we are in people would want your business . Fortunately there are lots of pet shops around that I would rather support . Thank you for the none service lady !!

In my experience, this is probably the best aquarium store in Johannesburg. Staff are always willing to help and provide advice. Great selection of freshwater and marine fish and equipment. A must visit for any hobbyist in Joburg.

A great variety of fish but sometimes difficult to get someone to assist you. Always need to walk around and look for some assistance.

Would have given them a higher rating but very disappointing when u buy for more than R 15000, especially in these times and they are not even interested to give u a discount which all other places do. The lady at the tills with the short hair is un interested and unfriendly. No customer care manners or even a thank u for your purchase. The other staff is friendly and helpful but why should I spend my money there again.

Variety and range of pet accessories and animals is very good. Unfortunately the owners were the most unfriendly and disinterested people around. Dont know how they still around based on their poor PR skills.

Ive been to the store twice and will never return.On my first visit:1. There were plenty of dead fish in the tanks, we had to call the employees and show them the dead fish in their display tanks before someone bothered to clean these.2. When we were looking through the range of the fish asking their staff any questions basically meant they would have to go ask someone leaving you waiting for minutes on end3. Given point two we gave up and the interesting fish that we have not encountered before we tried to take photos of the name of the fish on the tank and research them (with the flash off) and we were told no one is allowed to take any photos. Given they do not have the basic knowledge on the fish and were not allowed to take photos and lastly that they were not able to provide us with a pen an paper to note it down I do not see how this place have their doors open still.4. When we scoped the fish we were interested in we signaled that we needed help and the employee said he will be back right away, we waited for almost 30 minutes with no service and went to go find someone to assist us.5. The moss rock/plants sold to us were infected with snail eggs that we did not realize till it was way too late and we infected two planted tanks with items bought from the store.The second time I visited the store we were stopped in the door because they did not allow trolleys to enter the store. The only reason a trolley was used in the first place was because we had our 3 year old toddler with us and did not want her running around and touching all the tanks and slipping on the spilled water on their floors again like our first visit.In my opinion if you buy from this place do not expect your guarantee to last as I do not see these doors to remain open for very long. Their true core values are shown clearly under their name in the front of the store where they clearly state that RIGHT OF ADMISSION RESERVED

It was quiet on Tuesday about three pm. All the staff were talking amongst themselves. Was able to browse without interruptions. Nice variety of tetras on sale. Even got 10% off the marked price on a bag of fish food.

Fabulous selection of just about everything any fish pet owner could need or want. Theres a long haired fellow there who is always eager to please. They have an amazing array of marine fish and livestock. This place qualifies as one of the good old days pet shops we used to frequent as kids. Its an adventure even for window shopping or just looking.

Marine fish section is well stocked. Prices on livestock are very high. Been there a few times, and only couple of times did staff offer to help. The livestock is quite healthy. African Cichlid stock could be worked on.

I love this pet shop however some staff members have an attitude if they have to help you. Not friendly at all I don’t know what happened with them.

You wont easily catch me here again. They are selling simese fighters to people with goldfish and putting them together in a little fish bowl. This will be a murder within 5 minutes and then the simese fighter will die soon after due to lack of filtration and temperature.Im sorry, but if R45 means that much to them, then they certainly wont see my money again. The people there know exactly what they are doing and honestly dont care at all. All I got when I told them was a smile and a shrug!

I have seen the managers wife is always bullying the staff almost every week and she doesnt let them go on lunch breaks. One of the workers terrorizes the hamster and the owners dont care. There are roaches running around the shop and doesnt seem hygienic at all. The owners and managers wife is very unfriendly and always has an attitude I wouldnt suggest going here. Its very unfriendly.

Overpriced fish died the next day

Amazing variety of fish both freshwater and saltwater. Friendly staff that know about the animals and the various other products available. Also the staff treat the fish well when transferring them into the bags you take them home in. Most other stores are fairly rough with them, which Im sure causes the fish unnecessary trauma and shortens their life but here they are so gentle.

Recently bought crickets for my chameleon, disgusted by the state that they are in. They charge a fortune, and half of them are dead in the container. The staff are also not the friendliest.

Bought 3 goldfish when we got home we saw a parasite attached to one of the fish after we put them in the tank! Went back to the shop, they are not interested in remedying the situation, only selling us treatment at an additional cost! Not even sorry😪Quite honestly I have never found the owner or his wife to be even slightly friendly. They are in fact extremely sour unfriendly people.Wont be back

The selection is amazing and they have most things, however, the staff are unhelpful and it feels like youre irritating them when you ask them something. A big sigh before answering. Unpleasant experience.

Although the selection is outstanding, the owners are quite rude, and the stock and products are wildly over priced. I worked out an average of 60% - 200% mark up on any basic product you would purchase at other pet stores. Its a pity that it would be cheaper to travel elsewhere for the same quality.
