Rooms are basic but clean and well kept. This is a budget hotel who do very well for what you pay. Rooms have one double bed and a single bunk bed above it. Vending machine at reception and breakfast ( continental) by arrangement. Close to everything. Good value for your buck.

Food was great. Rooms are comfortable. They have great membership deals. All around a good experience!

Sun1 is a simple clean familiar place to stay at a budget price. Beside the plugs being hidden theres not much to complain about. Double bed with a single bunker at the top. And bottomless coffee at the reception.

Budget good quality overnight accommodation. Easily accessible. No frills for a good nights sleep.

I really enjoyed my stay during the MTV base awards

Budget rooms as expected but very clean and well maintained. Small bathroom where its hard to find a dry spot after a shower as theres no shower curtain but a minor issue. Staff were helpful and pleasant. The enclosed compound for parking and reception 24 hrs a day also makes this a convenient place if youre in the area for a day or two.

Customer service was excellent. Free Tea and Coffee.The beds are not the best but are fine if you need a few hours of rest mid journey.All in all its a great low budget hotel.

Well, they need to paint the interior of the rooms and change the carpets. I had 6 team members and 3 of them had to change their rooms due to inhospitable state of the rooms from smelling point of view. Interior paint job will be great!!!

I am aware of rules & regulations, but is it necessary to treat a guest with a demanding & aggressive approach about it. Why do staff insist that I should be weary of the the general manager and her stern attitude to guests who request a little convenience to their stay. How is this acceptable for guests to be intimidated into feeling too scared of the manager to voice their opinions or requests. Totally unapproachable! I am booked in and paid for my second night now. I was made to feel completely unwelcome here, if it was not for the convenience factor of staying in one place for one more night before I head back to Limpopo I would have left to look for better accommodation. Room has no been touched at all, I was told a lady would clean up after I was rushed to get to reception to make payment. Apparently their demanding & aggressive approach is due to Head office being extremely strict on them to be strict on their guests! How is this the case?? Very negative & unpleasant atmosphere. I feel very unwelcomed to this establishment & unvalued as a customer when I have staff at front of house reprimanding me and making me feel like a problem that is getting them into trouble with head office because I was delayed to go down to reception to swipe my card. I am shocked at how head office would advise staff on treating clients this way to make them feel unworthy of a little comfortably and respect when supporting Sun1 Edenvale with being our venue of choice for accommodation.

For the price its not bad but things like the shower and toilet its very uncomfortable. They had no dstv and no unlimited wifi only 150 megabytes they give you.

Exactly what I expected from a good clean budget hotel

Beds are low off the ground. Bathrooms floors and walls are plastic and a hazard for slipping. Halls noises very loud. Check in was fast and effortless.

Sun1 is the place to be the rooms clean white walls with a complete a lot of luxurious to comfort you air-conditioning flat screen TV double bed it was relaxing so comfortable early mornings bird songs ooh its wonderful I enjoyed Kimberly edenvale Johannesburg the whole weekend thanks SUN1 for your comfort and joy

Didnt get the best service. The lady on hand was so rude and didnt look like she wanted to be at work. It was a bit disappointing and left without what we came for.

Good luck with the all-in-one toilet and shower. Shower took 5 minutes to warm up.

I am a paraplegic and to be frank, I was actually taken aback at the state of the room. All very well the bathroom was fully equipped with hand railings as far as the eye could see, but the actual chair for the shower, even after requesting a room with a bath, was totally loose. There were screws missing from it and it looked like it hadnt been cleaned properly for years.Upon entering the room for the first time, the sharp smell of old stale urine hit me. It was like someone had spilt urine on the floors over and over again. The heat heat in the room just intensified the smell of the urine.The MAIN issue was the bed. When I saw the bed, I immediately started trying to figure out how the hell I was going to transfer from my chair onto the bed.I am quite fortunate that I am pretty strong in my upper body, as when I eventually, literally jumped and hoped for the best landing, the bed was as low as the center of my wheel and the mattress very soft. As I said, Im lucky I am relatively strong in my upper body, but still I had to use my transfer board to be able to get back onto my wheelchair.I feel sorry for a paraplegic who does not have the strength I have and no transfer board, as if they had a meeting to attend, they would be really, really late for it.I will really not recommend this hotel to anyone as I really did not enjoy my stay there one minute as I was not going to torture myself jumping on the extremely low bed again, so I had no option but to sleep in my wheelchair.Other than those three issues, the room was very neat.If I could make some suggestions.1. Install a panic button in case someone falls off of that so called shower chair or cannot get back into their wheelchair from the bed.2. Make the bed in the disabled room high enough for a disabled person to comfortably transfer.3. Put a proper and safe to use shower chair in the shower or even better, a camode.4. Put a she-bin in the toilet.5. Put a side table next to the bedOn the only plus side, the receptionist and the night security guard were very friendly and always helped open and close the door for me.

They do not accommodatefor day rest and early check ins.. Instead you must pay extra unlike the Sun1 in Benoni

Bathroom too small and plastic. No internet/WiFi in the rooms. No cable TV. Poor breakfast. The sockets dont cater for others travelers from outside south Africa.
