Called Roto Rooter for the 4th time in 15 years today. Johannes and Lulamile were onsite within a few hours and worked on our ridiculously long drain till it was cleared. They then inspected the drain with their camera, gave me a condition report on the 60+ year old clay pipes and let me know where some previous muppet had covered up an inspection port. Prompt, professional, friendly and efficient. Really couldnt ask for more.

After using 3 other plumbers, Roto Rooter resolved our problem. They are more expensive than the other plumbers, but it would have cost us less if we went with Roto Rooter initially.

The service was great (plumbers were on site within a few hours of calling and very friendly). The problem I had was with the ridiculously high quote for a simple and quick repair (bath mixer was leaking and both tap headparts needed to be replaced). The quote was around R3200, their reason being that they did not have the required parts and they would need to go and purchase them. I was also told that it would be better and cheaper to replace the whole mixer. I declined their quote and managed to do the repair myself. Did it in 10 minutes and the replacement headparts cost only R230...

I found the Roto Rooter team to be over and above exemplary. I called them in after my normal (and usually good) plumber had given up. Malcolm was able to offer good and reassuring advice over the telephone and his team arrived within 15 minutes of my call. The job turned out to be a massive one and had to be done over two days. Johannes and his partner the first day, and Johannes and Enoch the second day were beyond praise! Over and above expectations is not putting it strongly enough.Trust me when I say it was a filthy (understatement!) job and it was tackled vigorously and very thoroughly, with a professional and polite manner the whole way through.If you have a drain blockage this team has no equal!

Wonderful service today after another (to be un-named) drain unblocking company wasnt able to unblock the drain. There arrived within a few hours and took less than 15 minutes to resolve the blockage. They are better equipped, equipment is far safe, and know exactly what they are doing. Ref: JH279275

They are certainly not cheap, but available seven days a week. Always reliable, they come when they promise, and they get the job done right, first time. Highly recommended!

Had the same experience today as previous reviewer, Very Arrogant Management, (Malcolm) They dropped the ball not calling me back with banking details, then tell their plumber to leave because WE are wasting their time! Try and explain to this guy no one called me back!! He just goes on about how they cannot start work without payment!!! AGREED! if they just sent me the banking details!! I could not get this into his head!!! I had never disputed the R2200 charge, paid the money in, but oh no they cannot see the payment, they are with FNB and we are with STD??? So what, everyone dealing with them must have an FNB account?? Really? Eish, what a bad experience!! The technicians were awesome, the Manager...........Letting the whole operation down!! What a different experience this 2nd time round, just 7 months later!!

So rude over the phone!! Never again

Highway robbery. Cost me over R2000 and hasnt fixed the smell. Dont deal with these people!

Unreliable and arrogant management. Dropped the ball and still stuck with broken pipe, not willing to assist because project might go over 5 pm.

R1000 to change a washer. Dont trust them
