Staff told me an item I was looking for has been discontinued. Didnt bother to check if any other branches still has stock. I phoned the Boksburg branch to check if they still had stock of the item. They at least checked their warehouse to see if there are any and even went an extra mile by checking which branches still had stock without me having to ask. The Boksburg branch is a lot more helpful telephonically than visiting this branch.

Relatively well stocked on bathroom and kitchen fittings, etc, but the BIG downfall is the lack of service from the staff. Dont expect to receive service from staff assistants and if youre lucky enough to finally grab their attention, dont expect a smile

Gelmar has a variety of items specifically for kitchen and bathroom fittings but also stocks various smaller hardwares type items like glues and screws etc. Good quality products at affordable prices. Helpful and friendly staff. A hidden gem.

The Meadowdale branch is small, but has everything you need.The quality of their products is ok, for for purpose. They have a wide range of products catering mostly for DIY or the kitchen industry. Dont expect to find a pocket of cement, its not that kind of store.While there well stocked, some products are kept in limited numbers. We ordered castor wheels which arrived on time as promised.The store is well layed out with ample space between the isles for wheel chairs.Staff are reasonably friendly.Their pricing is competitive. Good store.
