A lovely new option for just meeting with friends, great morning coffee, exciting breakfast options and a spot to work from.We were greeted and served by Donovan, who oversees the café, is the barista and a lovely young man, who loves what he does. He explains the food in detail and I suggest asking him for recommendations if you’re not sure what to eat.I had the Grande Flat White coffee, which I loved. My guests enjoyed the sweet hot chocolate, creamy latte, fresh scones and chocolate muffin. I opted for the Pulled Pork Baguette, which I really enjoyed. The fresh and tasty pulled pork meat in a lovely sauce, caramelized onions and the right hint of thyme in between a fresh crisp baguette was a treat for breakfast.They also have a lovely counter top area against the window where you can sip on your latte and bang away on your laptop keyboard. Or just chill on the comfy lounge area and catch up.

Very nice place, first time there and seems the waitresses and waiters are attentive. Food is good. Service depends if you speak correctly to your server.. else you get what you thought you asked for.. but nice atmosphere.

I think calling this place a pub or even the self named Sports Diner does injustice to the caliber of food. It really is great. Great tasting food I would only expect from highly rated restaurants.Apart from that, the vibe is great, the service is fantastic and you know youre in good hands when the manager comes to your table. Not for a quick mandatory check in just to move to the next table, he was truly interested in the customers. Really a way to make you feel special.Havent had something I didnt like so far, would definitely recommend the Beef Fillet Trinchado though.P.s. Remember to park in the lower section (Long term parking) to avoid paying above average parking rates.

Been in Edenvale for 14years...first visit to Grand Slam🙈 apart from once getting bottle tops from them for a school project. So far so good, cant wait to taste my food😁

Love throwing back a few sun downers at this vibey bar. The best waiter, hands down, is the famous Roger who not only is amazing at his job but always has you leaving with a huge smile on your face! Food is great, trinchado is very tasty & watching a game there is a vibe!

My entire table and I got very bad food poisoning a week ago. Still really sick as I’m writing this (been vomiting several times a day for the last few days, fever, aches). Will not be coming back - really terrible food even though the environment was lekker.

Food always has been of good quality, hard to find a better burger. Excellent service.2021- ordered 4 burgers. 2 kids, 2 adults.Menu has changed so Asked if it comes with chips, was told no, so we asked for chips with each. We received 4 huge servings of chips. Waitress never bothered to tell us its going to be way too much. She preferred to collect the tip on almost a R200 extra charge.Dagwood not worth the extra charge either and now over priced.Meal prices are above average.After more than 15 years loyalty, drops to 3 stars.Used to be a regular visit but now its just for drinks.

Friend and myself met last night for a catch up....hadnt seen her for a while re Covid. We had a super young guy with dark curly hair, what an asset to Grand Slam. We wanted to order pizza which is on the menu. There was no capers, mushrooms, olives or feta for the pizza. Managed to order one chilli pizza with mince...green pepper and chilli for hubby to take home....it was dreadful..base wasnt good and pizza tasteless. Is Grand purely a place for drinking....Ive had food there before and also wasnt marvellous....Friend and I left and bought pizza at Goodfellas...😔😔😔

Just saw Grand Slam Sports Dinner in Edenvale on Konings van Kitskos on via, DSTV CH147. I have never been there before, but cannot wait to visit this restaurant.
