Excellent variety of fresh produce, ready to eat meals and bakery are well prepared and displayed. The shop is clean, adheres to covid19 rules, the staff is visible and effective. Aisles are well spaced out and shelves always fully stocked. Great shopping experience

Its great place to shop, but...

Excellent service, friendly ladies on the till. The fruit was very fresh, well done to that. One of the guys from the shop actually helped me with my trolley all the way to my car. It must be a new thing🤔. Well done to the staff & management👌

Their coffee shop has the best service and quality needed after or during shopping time.Really delicious cakes and everything perfect.

I was very happy to get Koo baked beens at R20 x 2. BUT very unhappy when i had payed R4 each for tomatoes .That related to about R125 per 5 kg box. Todays market price was R65 top price. All you have to do is empty into the bin. No sorry thats gread..

Very impressive, they are adhering to COVID regulations in terms of spacing, cleanliness, and staff are all covered with masks and face shield. Cashiers wipe the till area and the card machine after each customer. Well done to Spar management and staff. I felt safe

Its okay its not the best Spar as they dont have everything spar usually has and the queues from the students can be overwhelming unless youre prepared to wait.

I visited early in Sunday morning and the cashier that assisted looked uninterested, I consider being if you greet someone and the person doesnt greet back, I understand that it early in the morning, and people had their problems but who doesnt?On the other hand, the staff on the fruit side who assisted was more friendly, and even shared few jokes with her, she even alerted me that Orange and Grape Fruit were different hence the price.Either than the cashier I would have given the store 4 stars

The entrance to Spar is packed with people collecting Sassa grant at the post office. So it will put you off from going in if you dont know that the lines is for the post office and not a line for Spar. Otherwise Spar is not the full inside the shop.

Apart from the range of retail products Southernwood Super Spar serves one of the best meals, bakery treats and raw meat at the butchery department. Their Fire & Grill serves real local amazing chicken and pork meals. Right next to the fire and Grill the Bean Tree Cafe has a classy restaurant touch.A versatile Super Store indeed.

It is the central shopping store other than the Pick n Pay center. It has everything that a customer is looking for including cooked meals. The staff is friendly and always ready to assist customers.

Southern wood spar makes the best fresh bread and rolls exct. In this part of town. I remember when my kids were young on a Sunday after church we would buy a hot fresh loaf slap chips and a 2lt milk what a meal. And they still the same today fresh produce friendly service awesome.

I am unhappy with the fact that the new owners no longer donate to charity via the till slips and no longer sell bread cards that can be given to the homeless on our streets. Please explain.

Myy wife and I travel 18km to shop there. Here the service is out of this world. It makes me think that other store managers are lazy cause for sure its the manager that sets the bar.

Wide variety of groceries; largely frequented by tertiary- students; open from 0700 to 0020 hrs & even beyond that time; even sell electricity. Prices are a bit up compared to other similar stores.
