The rooms were beautiful,clean and comfortable.The hostess, I think her name is Belinda, was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The staff were super accommodating when we added extra guests forbreakfast, which was well prepared and delicious.As we were a large family together for a reunion, we could not have asked for a better venue for our kids and siblings to reload and have fun. Thank you so much to the staff and management for an amazing Easter weekend.Great guesthouse and value for money too.

Rooms are beautiful!! My room was as big as a ballroom and beautifully decorated. Bathroom needs a bit of love - the taps are loose and the showerhead needs a bit of cleaning, but overall a nice relaxing stay. Good breakfast!

Overall nice and clean place, with an accommodating owner. There were only a few issues that if addressed would have made the overall stay much better:1. The staff kept speaking to us in Xhosa despite repeatedly indicating we didnt understand the language.2. There is no bin in the bathroom, which makes for an uncomfortable situation for female guests having to discard femine products in the bin in the main room (this is especially awkward when the room is shared with 2 (or more) people, as was the case with us).3. The room appeared to be cleaned daily which was great, however we had closed the curtains upon leaving, only to find all the curtains opened upon return leaving electronic devices we left charging exposed to anyone passing by the room.4. Lastly, despite the room being cleaned the bin was not being emptied. On the second day when the bin was full, we removed the full bin liner, placed a new bag in the bin tied the full bag, and placed it next to the bin to be taken away. Upon return at the end of the day the bag we had placed in the bin, was removed, the full bag was placed inside it and both bags were left in the room.

What an exquisite establishment! Friendly and helpful staff made my stay easy and enjoyable! The apartment was spacious , with a full bathroom. The rest of the apartment is well equipped, however , a full DSTV bouquet would have been an absolute pleasure to enjoyed. The pool area is absolutely gorgeous with lush trees and beautiful gardens!The breakfast is an absolute winner , and recommended. HOWEVER , as a NON-SMOKER , when I entered my apartment, i could smell a cigarette odour. Further , as smoking is obviously encouraged, ashtrays are placed on benches on the communal balconies. Needless to say that during my 8 day stay , I was a passive smoker , if which I absolutely despise. Many early mornings I was awoken by the the smell of cigarette smoke. The legal right of non-smokers need to be protected! Secondly, the sofas in my apartment is in need of steam cleaning as it is smelly and on the sides of the seating area on the sofas, a lot of previous dirt was found . Vacuum cleaning will help , too . Lastly , the establishment is a little paradise and if , my concerns are addressed , of which are reasonable, I would highly recommend THE BIRDHOUSE BED AND BREAKFAST!

Tranquil and quiet. Close to the ocean. We had room 2 with a double bed, which we found a bit small. Staff are friendly and helpful. Traditional breakfast with hot and cold drinks. Spacious bathroom but no hairdryer or place to plug in a shaver. Basic toiletries provided. Two chairs a desk and small clothes hanging space. Fridge, microwave, kettle, crockery, cutlery and tea towel provided. Clean towels every day which was nice.

A beautiful place to stay. The surrounding birds chirping and the most amazing flora just takes you away. Very nice and clean rooms, lovely braai areas and a swimming pool.

Located in a quit and lovely part of Gonubi. Close to restaurants and a Spar supermarket. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.Beaches are at a 5 minute walk.Owners and staff are very helpful.

The people here are very very helpful. My brother missed the closing up of his booked accommodation at another venue. The ppl at birdhouse helped out , very late and had a spare room available, no questions. Its neat and is very cosy ,tranquil.
