What a awesome place, it feels so homey. The priced really well. The look and feel is interesting not everyone’s taste for sure. The food feel like it’s made with extra love. The coffee is nice but not amazing. The outdoors area is awesome for kids and on a sunny day. Had some monkeys join us in our our breakfast. There is enough parking. Also a jungle gym for the kids.

Such great food, at such great prices. They have very nice Sourdough sandwiches, and even there milkshakes are quite great.

Great coffee! For me coffee is the measure of the place and they got it right! I had a farmers breakfast and was not disappointed. A healthy portion of bacon and the usual breakfast trimmings were well prepared and presented. This place has become a must visit for me when in the area over the years and have never been disappointed.

Lavender has been around for while, ans has continued from strength. Karen (and Lawrence) keep updating and innovating without losing the essence of it being a inviting, warm and comfortable place to meet, eat, chat, have a spa treatment...or just chill out and hang.Great fresh produce, awesome bakery, the best breakfasts ever, and yes, the coffee is right up there.So go for breakfast, and stay for lunch .

Great place. Lovely ambience especially for the family. Beautiful scenery. Food was delicious made with fresh and organic food. I wanted to post a picture but food was so good I for to take one. Great selection of fresh juices and smoothies. Recommendation is to grab yourself a brunch as the food is very filling and it gets very busy in the morning.

Wow.... It was awesome and so organized, love the idea pay for order b4 u eat. U can sit inside or outside and get a number when u order for in or outside. Out is beautiful on warm calm day. B4 u go sit to have u drink or meal, they have loads of goodies to purchase..... Just one thing they hopefully will look at.... Parking area, if it rains.... muddy. Beautiful, quiet place to have a lunch date with friends. Would have loved a bit more variety in the menu but overall a great experience. You also find a cute nursery if youre into buying plants and theres a little trail if you enjoy taking walks

It is a Mothers Day morning it is so full...but with no time food was served...Its a beautiful family place..Love their South African breakfast( as they call it) Mmmh and dont forget their carrot and ginger drink...Love it

Having supported Lavender Blue for years, we are really disappointed at how the quality of food has deteriorated. You can order toast, but receive bread - no butter. Breakfasts are not what they used to be - and far more expensive. Coffee is average. It us a real pity as it is a great outdoor venue and the staff are friendly. Where is management and quality control?

There is a lovely outside area to eat next to a large pond. I can recommend the coffee and the breakfasts are plain but delicious at a very reasonable price!

Please tell your customers to order first and pay before getting seated, especially new customers, we were just given menus and we went to find a table only realising moments later that we were meant to order first.Otherwise I had a great experience plus I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast with family. Everyone loved what they had with no complaints.

For our first stop after a long drive from KZN it was a very friendly welcoming stop with a good menu choice. Food was great and a relaxing enjoying spot.

Food is disappointing. Quality has gone down the last couple of times Ive been here.

We went for breakfast on a Saturday morning and although it was busy, it was a charming experience. Really, really good coffee and a large selection of breakfasts to please all types of eaters. One complaint was that they were out of mushrooms, but Im sure we were just victims of circumstance and it is therefore no fault of the restaurant. The deli section is delightful, and they have some truly lovely clothing and jewelry items.

A wonderful place to enjoy a good meal on a nice sunny day. There is always a great atmosphere and loads of space for kids to run around while you sit back, relax and enjoy your meal with the view of the Koi filled dam. Its quite a pleasant experience to be honest.

I absolutely love my Saturday morning brunches here. Great food, the BEST coffee and amazing setting...and I always see so many friends enjoying their time here too. Super friendly staff add to a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

Amazing venue. Large inside and outside area. Plenty of space for kids to run around. Outside area situated next to a large pond with koi. Has a farmers market with amazing veg, fruit, preserves and even clothes, bags and soaps. Beauty salon on property.

Poor customer service. My order was forgotten about, despite the fact that we were one of three other groups there, so not much to overwhelm. Asked for soft boiled eggs and they were hard. Husbands sauce was cold. This is not the first time I have left here feeling disappointed.

Enjoyable place to spend time visiting with friends or family, especially over weekends. Pleasant viby atmosphere and pretty surroundings inside and out. Delicious food creatively served. I like the idea of ordering at the counter but sometimes you have to wait in a que. Coffee was a bit too strong.

One of the best cafes in East London! The food is fresh and tasty, all at your average cafe price. Has a great atmosphere with indoor/outdoor seating and a nice little shop.Positives: Clean bathrooms! Top notch food and drinks. Their fresh pressed juices are my favorite!Negatives: I love their wheat grass shots but they dont always have the wheat grass. They are super busy on holidays and weekends!Interesting: they have homemade kombucha!!!

One of my favourite places in EL!I love the Red Cappuccino, the smiles of the staff, the fresh products at the market sektion and the delicious open Sandwiches.

Perfect ... best Roosterbrood Menu ever. Just fell in love with the lavender mince and egg aswell as the scrambled egg mushroom and tamato smoor.

Greasy looked like the sandwich had been pulled apart and not cut, potato wedges were tasteless and old tasting. Doubt I would return or recommend. Nice venue though

Country craft shop and eatery. Homemade goods and fresh fruit, veg, bread, cheese etc sold there. Get your self service food and sit around the dam and enjoy the country side.

Its had a recent face lift inside. The coffee is exceptional, the food is good. It has a small market inside that sells health foods, coffee beans fresh vegetables and clothing etc. Seating is inside and outside. WiFi is available.
