Checkers liquor is one of the places you can purchase alcohol in the areas of Morningside,Overport and Musgrave. The priceing is normal.They have good range of beers and other alcohols but at times I feel like the store is a bit small and does not support the demand in the area

Ive been going checkers the atrium for 23 years. Their staff are brilliant. Friendly, so helpful, always cheerful and they greet long term customers as friends. Always ask how my sons are doing.And Checkers is much cheaper than Pick and Pay. Their butchery is more expensive than Mr Mozzies butchery though. Some of the veggies can look tired although the local bananas are good. And they have the tastiest loose tomatoes and great growing lettuce.

Clean, neat store, well stocked, certain products are reasonably priced, although the veg & fruit is much higher than other stores, friendly staff, but would need more till points open during busy periods & pension payouts

Requested a relatively low amount of cash and was asked to wait while someone checked which till would be able to accommodate me.After 10 minutes of waiting I was told that they could only provide roughly half of the amount, made to wait a few more minutes before being told to go to another till for the withdrawal.Explained to the new cashier (till 7) that I had been sent by the cashier at till 10.I was then asked to join the queue of till 7.Thanked the cashier at till 10 and calmly exited.This is poor customer service.Please rectify this.

For the most part I go there for my groceries. However, I have been left with a sour taste due to the security guard who didnt allow me in at 19:45 on Saturday, 27 January, 2018. I was under the impression the store -as per the plaque on the door- that the store closes at 20:00. But the security guard took it upon himself to refuse me entry. And when I requested to Manager he refused that right to me as well and said just leave because I will not allow you into this store nor to speak to the Manager. I had a very bad experience and am quite disappointed.
