They are trying the best they can under this circumstances. Funds are minimum and they are still pulling through trying to make the best with what they have.

This hospital is by far the nearest nonsense.just called and the nurse is full of nasty attitude. the state of the place they kept our child in ,just because we are not allowed access in due to covid regulations, they get opportunity to just do as they pleased to vulnerable patients. Might as well donate it to Uganda as a clinic. Very disappointed...you deserve just a Conner of star.

This is by far the worst hospital Ive been to. Nurses arent prepped about patient safety and hygiene. There is no sanitizer for patients in wards and nurses go from patient to patient without sanitizing their hands, when i asked why isnt there sanitizer available for nurses to use. I was told that patients are stealing them. They use equipment back and forth between patients without even wiping or sanitizing it, when I asked why is this, im told theyre not allowed to sanitize equipment. When I complained I was told its not a problem and I shouldnt stress myself over it. This being a maternity ward where babies are. Wow. Nurses are also very rude. They dont value patient safety at all

Worst food. Drs and nurses were good. But showers and bathrooms are unkept, administrative staff took over 3 hours to discharge me and sort out my bill. Complete disregard for patients time and would not make any exceptions considering I had to leave for a work meeting. Would not recommend staying at this hospital.

I do not believe theres a mother who wishes her child to cry, however you cannot stop a new born from crying and babies are different. But to hear hospital team members gossiping and labeling an innocent baby names just because hes crying is heartbreaking for the mother. Alternatively please allow mothers to sleep with their babies in wards if its soo difficult to handle the crying of a baby and sound proof the wards as some nurse(s) have an issue about this to the extent that they even failing to keep it to themselves.

Very Rude and arrogant staff, handling of the patient was so poor. There was blood spilt all over the place when the nurse accidentally poked the needle into my wife before realizing that she hadnt hung up the drip, she then tries to hold onto the hand that already has a needle, squeezing onto it whilst trying to reach for the drop as blood was being spilt on the floor. Horrific, Terrible and Very Poor Services. What a waste of money. Had to Wait Almost Half an Hour for a file whilst my wife remained untreated. After receiving the file, we still had to wait for the doctor to come in and have a word me me the husband, which took another 20 minutes, failing to realize that that should have been done after seeing to the patient. NO STANDARDS, NO ETHICS, NO PROFESSIONALISM !!!.

Midwives gave me an episiotomy against my will. I wanted a 100% natural birth and wasnt struggling. I had been at the ward less than 45 min. Im so mad. This should have been communicated to me. They were also just plain rude. Im so upset I am pondering legal action.

Staff are dismissive and rude. This hospital admitted my grandmother a week ago, who is not able to speak due to a previous stroke she has had; she was admitted due to a possible 2nd stroke. As the family we are unable to access the hospital due to Covid-19, hear directly from my gran due to lack of speech. We have NOT contacted by the doctors or nurses to hear how she is doing or what tests have been done to her or what medication was been given to her- this was in the first 3 days of her being admitted. Each time we contacted the hospital- all we git was a transfer to the 10th floor ward and then subsequently the 6th floor. The first two nurses we spoke to didnt help and said they did not know anything about the patient then the next few we spoke to could not give diagnosis and always asked we leave name and number for the doctor to call and update us. This has continued for a week now, without hearing from the treating neurologist. We dont know what procedures and medication my gran has been getting or what results are of tests/scans she has undergone. I have filed a complaint the South Africa Medical Association. What a HORRIFIC and careless hospital!

Compliments to the Nursing Staff however the Doctors whom I have encountered used my medical aid as an open cheq😳 The admin staff are very slow on admission, we waited just over 2hrs. Wards have no warmth, theyre large, empty, cold. I am sure the government hospitals have a much warmer touch. Trying to call the hospital is a nightmare. The receptionist does not check if the recepient is available, she transfers the calls and it cuts off if not answered😱 this happened several times in one morning.JMH we need to hear your response to every post on this platform!!

On the 7 December my husband from Russia dislocated his shoulder. I rushed him to the City Hospital where we were greeted and treated very kindly by all the staff and personal. They were concerned about the health of the patient and took my husband in to start making him comfortable. My husband could not speak English too well and by chance, he had a wonderful Doctor on duty that spoke Russian.I would absolutely recommend this hospita to everyonel. The service and staff were excellent!!

This is a very neat and clean hospital. Better than most private hospitals in KZN. The nurses are caring and have a tremendous sense of humility. They take care of patients as if it is their own family that they are nursing back to health.

Very unhappy patient, nursing staff not efficient, no help at all, and I found that a certain race has more care than others, I couldnt get 1 assistant but my neighbor had several, chatting while I tried to sleep, too noise, I asked them to secure my drip because it came loose then fell of middle of night, no 1 to help, morning antibiotics where not given becoz no drip in place, my over night stay was unnecessary and now I sit although being discharged several hours ago... no meds... waste of my time... will never use or recommend this hospital.

I was there today . I got a bad back pain and i supposed to see Dr. Bhaata , never see who is he or she. One staff nurse check me and give me prescription and i have to signed so many papers and go buy medicine from Sparkport pharmacy. There is nothing special or no caring at all . Just wasted my R850 . It was better to see a street doctor he can check me fully in R200. Really disappointed . Will never ever recommend that hospital to my friends and family .

I had a very bad experience and ended up loosing my unborn baby. I came there early hours and I told them I was bleeding and pregnant. I told stand by doctor that I was also on antibiotics ( which I had eith me) . I also explained I had previously had miscarriage but he still discharged while on pain and told to stop taking antibiotics. The doctor (matured petite soft spoken man) was sooo rude and had no sense of urgency. The pain and infection worsen and when I came back the following day only I was admitted and bleeding was worse henve I lost a baby.

The worst Private Hospital I’ve been to by far, patients are told to wait at the waiting area to be admitted whilst other white patients walk in and get admitted immediately! I called my doctor about this and asked me to go at the reception and get them to call him and Mr Govender refused and told me they were emergency patients and after waiting 3 long hours I finally get admitted. This is a horrible hospital and it’s a shame that it’s a private hospital! Even a government hospitals don’t treat their patients like this.

This hospital is not safe.I was there 3weeks back to deliver my baby. Anyone can just go straight to the wards, while u r lying with pains from a c-section any person gets off the lift and enter the wards, even ur enermy can come and inject u with poison during visiting hours. The visitors do not get permission from the nurses to see patients, they climb off the lift and straight to any patient and steal patients belongings while patients are in the nursery or sleeping from painkillers.I lost my new tablet after an unkown person just went through my staff and took my tablet while I was in the nursery. The beds r not easily adjustable,u hv to call a nurse to adjust your bed.I had the worst experience. The nurses r caring though I guess tht is the only good thing
