A super pleasant experience, friendly informative security, covid friendly conditions, efficient learned priests from India that did my car prayer with such a peaceful demeanor. My second time doing new car prayers n will advise anyone to try this revered Temple. Closes at 7pm

This temple originally erected in 1898 serves as one of the oldest Hindu temples in the Durban area. Both a religious monument and a historical gem preserving the legacy of Hinduism that arrived in South Africa with the indentured labourers. The temple is clean, neat and now modern in its design. The temple also has a hall which the temple management rents out to individuals and/or organisations.
