The rooms were clean and extremely comfortable. We got extra bedding as there was cold weather and it was toasty warm.The food was very tasty and more than enough. The kitchen was accomadating with food preferences which was wonderful.The lounge had a warm, crackling fire and a wonderful view.We will definitely be back.

There were other peoples hairs in the bed. Eeuw! Got them to change the linen at 10h30pm. Then the aircon didnt work. Other then that it was OK.

Very clean and comfortable accomadation. Nicki welcomed us at the gate and we both thought that was a very nice touch. The husband Mike is a hoot a minute and very interesting. The breakfast was EXCEPTIONAL and a vegan option was on offer for my husband. Good show guys.

Ive stayed @ Mackaya Bella twice in three months November 2019 and Feb 2020 and on both occasions I loved the place, Mike & Nicky are very friendly and warm. Ill recommend Mackaya Bella to anyone to stay there especially if you are going to study or work @ UKZN School of Medicine just down the road.

Always feel at home here.. Its a great bed and breakfast facility. Its an old building so some issues here and there. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. I really enjoy my stay here.

Outstanding!I stay here often. I frequent guesthouses around the country. The hospitality and kindness shown to me by Niki and Mike are second to none. The rooms are always neat and the surrounding trees and plants are picturesque. I always enjoy the breakfast. The property has a good security system and I always feel safe. The area is quiet and very peaceful. Always my first choice for accommodation in Durban.

I had a very good time at his place, the owner is very friendly and fun to chat with. The breakfast is first class and the staff is very helpfull. Nice clean environment, just wish thye could extend their business to other places in Durban like Morningside and Dirban North.
