Great steaks, good service. Steak Bismarck was incredible. Pretty expensive.

Good and comfortable place, service was good, food was pretty average though. They do however have some very nice milkshakes.

Pretty sure that it have been the best restaurant of my life, I would give more than 5 star if I could. Thanks for the amazing night.

Very impressed with the service last week Saturday. Well done to Brandon who deserves more than a 5 star rating. He was on top of things and was very informative about the menu and other weekly specials. Presentation of the food as well as the taste was amazing. Thank you for a great evening. Keep it up.

Had a great pizza there with some friends, it is a very quite restaurant, we were the only people there whole we are. Nevertheless the pizza was fantastic. The whole vibe of the place was chilled and relaxed and the service was great. Would recommend for a relaxed quiet time to chat with mates.

Piatto is not the cheapest Italian restaurant, but the food is high quality and well presented. Our waiter was friendly and very helpful. All in all a pleasant dining experience. We will eat there again next time we are in the area.

Cosy restaurant with good food especially the Veg pizza. Good service at Gateway. Unfortunately, the best branch was in North Beach but has subsequently closed.

On arrival we were not seated by a host. He was at the door playing with a cellphone which led us to seat ourselves.There was a mix up with the food we received and had to wait even longer.Overall the service is poor and rather slow. The food is mediocre and not worth the long wait.There were cockroaches on the restaurant floorIf you are used to good quality food and great service then you will not be excited about Piatto Gateway

Steak was pure grizzly, even after requesting another steak. Second steak just as bad . Service was appalling, waited 45 minutes for meal and only 2 other tables occupied. Will definitely not be returning.

I hosted an anniversary dinner here. It was very good service, and the dinner was of a high quality. I can definitely recommend the steak!

Warm cosy atmosphere. Very comfortable for children. The food was tasty and well served.

Generally very nice but it wasnt a good day for me when I visited, many things went wrong though the management tried their best to make it better but it just didnt work

Every time we stay in Umhlanga we make a point of going to Piatto, lovely food and great service from Stanley every time. He remembered our order a year later, top guy

Ordered a Chicken Parmigiana. Meal came cold with no parmesan. Brought this to the attention of the waitress. Thami, the Chef, then sends a bowl of Parmesan on the side. (am I supposed to bake this myself at the table?). This dish is supposed to be baked until golden brown. Furthermore, the chicken was dry and rubbery. The manager Valerie was extremely rude. Will never be visiting Piatto again.

Sad how a place cannot keep up to standard... Waitress is very good. Ordered the express breakfast special with top up of halloumi cheese and pork sausage.... Halloumi was like a biscuit and the sausage had some kind of condom looking casing just hanging off it like a dead piece of skin! The coffee came with rotton milk the first time and came like weak mud water the second time. Now I get it. Its a free cup, but it doesnt mean you need to skimp on quality! The rest of the food was mediocre considering it took almost 45 minutes to get to us because during a dead time there was a backlog in the kitchen with only 4 tables occupied.... Im in the industry as well... I know the excuses.... I shant be returning!And the terrible music! I left with a pounding headache!You have work to do!
