AVOID!! Please spend your money where they dont make people of color feel unwelcome.Heres the tea:I walked in to the gift store and was immediately followed by the lady who works there. She asked me what I was looking for, I told her hanging plants. She suggested I leave and look somewhere in the garden area. Her emphasis was that I leave. As I continue to look around at the pots and the stands she told me the stands are expensive and so are the pots and, for the third time, that I should leave.I went into the garden and was ignored by the lady working there as she walked by me. The man who walked in after me was greeted and asked if he needed any help. As this lady walked past me she ignored me completely again. Both ladies were not persons of colour and the man was also not a person of colour. Please spend your money where they dont make people of color feel unwelcome.

Ive also felt uncomfortable there. The lady at the little wooden house before you get to the main garden area makes me feel like she is chasing me away from the shop.

Brilliant nursery. Good variety of plants, good prices and a really cool setting meandering the walkways. The interior design store is really cool too.

So lovely!! We sat in the outdoor coffee shop and had the MOST delicious Scones

Large nursery and garden centre situated just off the M4. Very easy to locate. Several hundred different types of flowers, trees, vegetables and fruit plants to choose from. They also stock numerous garden ornaments and rock features.Seeds, garden equipment and tools also for sale. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Ample parking available.

Bloomingdales never disappoints, everything is beautifully laid out and staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. There may be larger nurseries in Durban but Bloomingdales is always the first one I go to

Wow, how awesome is this special place.. we visited yesterday and even thought they close at 4pm due to the fact I called, and we tried again on route, the owner called us back and stayed open to assist us even though we were running bit late due to traffic! That was impressive to say the least. Then our experience with the fantastic staff, we found exactly what we needed, and could shop for another 35 odd minutes, whilst they accommodated us.. We will be back, another bonus was that they have 10% discount for pensioners on Mondays.. we WILL BE BACK.. thanks again to all concerned.

Surprised by the variety, really beautiful

Bloomingdales offers a variety of plants from rose bushes to fruit trees. There are several herbs like mint, basil and chilli plants on sale. Ive seen different pots and pretty bird feeders too. Once youve bought your items they offer to carry the plants to your car.

I hate going there with my wife because I cannot get her away. But jokes aside, its one of the best nurseries around. All they need is a tea garden.
