There should be negative rating. Please be careful about this man. I went in to close a gap in my teeth, he did not advise me on what options I had and said my only option was to have crowns. He damaged perfectly good teeth for extra cash as the crowns were expensive. They were also not good quality, as I was later advised by a qualified dentist. Please be careful about this dentist.

After reading a post for a dentist in Everything Umbilo, I decided to try out Dr Moosa at Queensmead mall. But prior to confirming the appointment i enquired the costs on medical aid. The receptionist enquired my medical aid name and plan over the phone. I needed an appointment to have my kids teeth cleaned and assessed. , I was charged R1200 for my sons consult for a cleaning and filling. Note that this wasnt done by the dentist himself but by his therapists. My daughter was charged R600 for just cleaning. I do understand that medical aid rates are more than cash but i think the amount charged for my son was a bit ridiculous, especially the fact that it wasnt done by the dentist himself. These practices dont care about the exorbitant amounts as it is on medical aid.But it affects a person if its coming out of your medical aid savings. When i called the practice and spoke to the receptionist who was extremely rude and kept speaking when i was speaking, then she argued that i didnt ask about medical aid prices i asked about cash, why would i ask about cash when i mentioned meical aid and if she requested my medical aid details. she avoided me when i requested the names of the therapists, I also told her if the call was recorded you will hear the conversation, she said it is recorded, I said, please email me a copy of the call. eventually she put the phone down on me . Then when i called back she says i must come in to discuss as she is very busy. She said she will call me back, she has not yet. I will never set foot in that practice again. Mostly because of the manner in which the receptionist handle the query.
