Wow, such friendly, helpful and easy to talk to staff at Edleigh Optometrist. I purchased glassed from Edleigh Optometrists in Feb 2021, and needed a new frame for my lenses due to an accident - I was helped immediately without question or hassle- I live in Jefferys Bay now and theyre sending the frames to me from Durban! Truly grateful as I thought this would be stressful due to distance and previous experience with other optometrists.

With finding out my daughter was diagnosed with keratoconus and had to use hard lens, we were left overwhelmed...From my initial call to set up an appointment we were met with professionalism....My daughter was made to feel so comfortable..everything was explained to us in detail...The amazing thing of the approintment, was the personal touch that was so evident in his friendly disposition..Dr greeted by name and made my girl so comfortable.

Absolutely amazing service. My son desperately needed new glasses so my gran made an appointment with Dr Kathrada who she also sees what a great experience. They have such a large range to choose from. They had his lenses in stock so he got his new glasses a few hours after his appointment. I definitely recommend them five stars from our family.

Excellent service, finally an optician who listened to the challenges I experience with my eyesight. I had laser surgery 22years ago , but still had to wear contacts. I have 1 eye that is long sighted & 1eye that is short sighted and recently due to age related deterioration, I could not see clearly. I have been to 3 different opticians with disappointing results prior to consulting with Iqbal Kathrada. I thank God for directing me to this optician who was so caring and assisted me so professionally and quickly. I now have migraine free days thanks to Iqbal Kathrada.

I have been going to EDLEIGH OPTOMETRISTS for many years now, primarily because its such a pleasure to deal with true professionals. The team of Iqbal and Neesha get me through the testing and choices of one or two and their large range of glasses so well that I never get a chance to feel any stress about it. Theyre friendly and so helpful, answering my myriad of curious questions and always having the admin info ready before I get a chance to even ask about it.However, today, they went above and beyond - totally stunning us with their speed of service! In under an hour, my daughter walked out with her glasses! No, Im not joking. As we were leaving, expecting a call in about a week, Iqbal asked us if we could come back in 15 minutes. We popped into Spar quickly, then headed back, only to find Iqbal putting the screws into the new glasses. Naturally I had to find out how this was possible, and they explained that they now have the equipment to do them on the property, primarily to save those who come from a fair distance from having to come back again. My daughter was absolutely thrilled with both the perfect choice of frames and speed of delivery, and I am very grateful to have at least one thing sorted and off my to-do list so fast.This team makes excellent customer service a reality!

Edleigh Optometrists provide outstanding profession and friendly support. Iqbal has been my optomitrist for over 10 years and despite living in Johannesburg, continues to be my preferential service provider. Edleigh offers great service even couriering new glasses to me in Gauteng.As someone quite fussy when it comes to glasses I find his range the best of all other optomitrists tested.He has even further improved his offering through installing his own lab on site.Recently I lost my glasses and needed replacements. Knowing I was to be traveling back to Jhb the following day, Iqbal fitted my new lenses in his new lab on the same day and I was able to leave with my new glasses... Something I didnt believe was possible.10/10 in all fronts. Highly recommend.

My first experience with Edleigh, from the moment I walked into the practise, was very professional and friendly from the front office staff. My total eye test experience with the optometrist was highly detailed, professional, and precise to say the least. I was diagnosed with diabetes the same week, and was tested very well to the full extent by the optometrist and left feeling content that my eyes, with the help of my optometrist are in good hands, going forward.

I am so grateful to Iqbal at Edleigh Optometrists, who gave me the personal and professional service that I so desperately needed. I previously had kerataconus and cornea transplants in both eyes. At the beginning of the year, when I had catarabcts removed, my vision changed completely and I required new hard contact lenses. I struggled to get help anywhere on the South Coast. In one consultation and one trip to Durban from Southbroom, Iqbal sorted out my problems. My glasses and complimentary contact lenses were sent to me via courier and after almost 10 months of poor vision, I can at last see again. Thank you to Iqbal and Nisha for your excellent service.

I had the most amazing experience with Dr Kathrada today. I am a kerataconus patient who relocated back to Durban 2 years ago. After searching for a scleral optometrist I found Dr Kathrada on Google. My experience today was overwhelming as he explained me so much re my condition. He also helped me have peace of mind re my very uncomfortable left eye. His work ethic is so transparent and authentic. The world really needs more Doctors like Dr Kathrada.
