Amazing service, from parking assistance to restaurant staff. Had a good time. Definitely worth it.

Very good Value for money, amazing service…breakfast well worth the extra R180. Rooms are very nice you must ask for deluxe then you get a balcony room with a fair view. Rooms are spacious and comfortable with all the amenities . You would expect. Room service is good and wait is not too long. Will stay here for sure in the future.

Ive always wanted to spend a night here and finally got a chance to spend a night out with my son. The rooms were outstanding, pity they do not have family rooms. We left the wife at home. Supper and breakfast was awesome and we will be going back for the seafood platter which looked awesome.

The food was world class, the people at the buffet were very welcoming. The dinning hall was clean, well lite, smelt great, extremely close to perfect.

The place is beautiful but management team need to up their game special housekeeping manager and maintenance manager

I had my daughters wedding on the 18 June 2021 with about 40 guests. The staff at Coastlands Musgrave were very helpful. Most especially Portia. A small area if the patio was converted into this magical wedding. A red carpet and entrance ropes were given to us at no charge and round tables with cream table cloths were given. The seafood buffet was excellent.. The staff really showed true hospitality. We booked about 4 rooms and decided to stay the night. The morning breakfast was well worth it and was incorporated into the price. Once again... Thank you. Will be visiting again.

We had breakfast here on Sunday. At R185 per person, its definitely not cheap but we indulged as it was a special occasion...what a disappointment! The selection on offer - from warm foods to fruit, cereals and baked goods was very disappointing. The only thing warm was the eggs if it got to your table on time. The mushrooms, baked beans, chicken sausages and mutton sausage chutney (which tasted awful)were all cold. The selection of muffins, croissants, cakes etc. was not great. The scones were topped with fresh cream that tasted quite strange (didnt taste like fresh cream to me), scones were dry as was the piece of cake I tried. There were coco pops and rice krispies as well as a couple of yogurts on offer. The selection of fruit was poor- some melon, pineapple and slices of naartjie/ orange. At that price I would expect hot tasty food in sufficient quantities (seems like they ran out of chicken sausages), selection of scrumptious baked goods, better selection of fruit - berries, banana and nuts and seeds, dried fruit and good coffee as well. For over R700, we had cold chicken strips, sausages and some fruit. I wouldnt even call this a mediocre breakfast, it was bad!

Very slow kitchen service for both lunch and dinner. Waited 45 minutes for meal. I had ordered a breakfast box as I needed to leave the hotel at 6.30 and nothing was ready.Towels very threadbare - need replacing.Was disturbed by intoxicated people trying to get into my room at 3am.

Seem to be a nice place but we needed an ocean side hotel. We had that impression when we booked and fully paid online. However when we got there it wasnt the case

Upon reception the hotel is lovely and clean with friendly staff good food and good vibes. Only problem started around 4am when they couldnt contain the noise level caused by guests next room to me. It was like they were having a party with music on loud and voices too high. Reception/management didnt help even after pleading for assistance.So I wouldnt recommend one goes there if looking for some time out away from busy life.

Massage scheduled for 12:00 noon was delayed until 12:45.(Booked by Lucy Naidoo for us both) The platter ordered that was to be a snack before had to be eaten during our pedi treatments. We were then behind schedule for everything else, as it was my birthday party that afternoon. However the ladies (masseuse)were phenomenal.

An absolute horror show for dinner! Besides over a day old food being served up, flies on desserts and plain down pathetic management. This has to be my worst experience in my life! Awaiting management of actual authority to call and not the clown in guest relations who claim to be a manager but has absolute no solution to their problems. Further more no protocols for covid put in place! Please save your money and stay very far away from this place

Overall expectations were dashed. Saw good reviews and ratings but was disappointed. Had to deal with slow services from the desk and the environment was not wat I expected. Having to pay for a hotel undergoing reconstruction.... least they could was to review their rates to match reality on ground. Had to get another remote for the room TV! Not impressed overall.. food was the only highlight

I’m sitting at the restaurant while posting this and nobody hasChecked on how I’m enjoying my meal and how it’s going. That petty grievance aside, the food was terrible. They served drinks with no straws. I had to ask for cutlery to have my meal. It was an overall very disappointing experience compared to other hotels in the area.

Good service ,Good spread for meat eaters.Beautiful presentation .Vegetarian,vegan meal options are limited and only fruit for dessert .Management should make an effort as companies pay per head for use of the conference and buffet facilities.

The hotel is furnished well and the finishes are beautiful. The facilities are good. Good for a casual stay.I was disappointed with the service. I dont suggest Coastlands Hotel for special occasions if booking online. The responsible individual for online booking is slack.The individual did not take into account any of my requests and failed to inform reception of the room requested or special amenities requested. I felt like just another number on their list.Room service was not grand either... all in all, beautiful hotel but sub-standard service.

This place is so cute, from the setup, the view, the cleanliness and food is so nice. I love it. It was the second time to visit her but definitely I am coming back soon as it is so affordable.

Well where do I even start? The cleaning lady on the 2and day didnt make my sheet properly, the sheet was still crumbled up under the duvet, was disappointed, had meat crumbs on the floor and shower door not soo clean. But overall the front desk was awesome and the hotel is beautiful.

The venue parking is under construction which makes it difficult to rate. Booked the venue for a company strategy session will try it again to judge fairly after building works are complete.

Delicious food, affordable buffet and great atmosphere!!

Our room had no hot water and after explaining that we had a reservation to fulfill at 6, the reception advised that we had to let the water run for 15-20 minutes to get hot. After calling again a manager came to see that we were telling the truth & we got moved to floor above where we were made to carry our own luggage. Our reservation was missed because we couldn’t make it on time. After laying a complaint with the manager he said he would report it to the hotel manager who didn’t seem to respond with any concern. Very poor service from an establishment in the hospitality industry which greets with “Dear valued guest” everywhere it can.

Usually I would rate this hotel a 5/5. However, this time we were given a room on the fifth floor, right next to the construction taking place. I was woken up every morning by the loud sounds of heavy machinery that often only stopped just before 6pm. Thus making it impossible to relax in the room during the day. This is extremely upsetting as I believe this could have been avoided if they do not give guests rooms so close to the construction. It is an extreme inconvenience as I couldn’t even make calls in the room as no one could hear what I was saying over the loud noises. They do not state they are under construction on their website when you are booking which is misleading. Normally I look forward to staying at Coastlands, but now I leave lacking sleep and with a headache from all the noise. Very disappointing.

I have tried to make a booking for a function at Coastlands from over a year ago. Iam really disappointed by the service received from Drissalda , I emailed serval times about the bookings for the 3rd April 2021 and the extra’s I required, however, I received NO correspondence. I then called many times and left messages for her to get back to me. Still no response. My husband and I drove to coastlands on the 6 February hoping to meet her, unfortunately she was not in. By this stage I loss hope about the bookings and excitement I had. It’s rather disappointing that such little effort was put into customer service during times where every business needs to grow. There was really no one else that could assist us.Very disappointed
