Some days the food is really good, some days its bad... Every restaurant has their good and bad days. I purchased 5 Mutton breyani at R75 each container and 5 small tubs of soji at R15 each tub this morning. The food was just so average. The meat pieces are frustrating. You receive more bones than meat itself! Im just being honest. Their soji though is really delicious!

This was an experience I doubt I would encounter in a hurry again. We went in for a specific meal which was sold out. As we were walking out, the owner stopped us to enquire what it was we wanted. He then proceeded to try & get us this food item from every section of his company, the different divisions, so to say. When he was told that the particular item was completely finished, he then plied us with other food items, stating that since we were fasting, he did not want us to be hungry. By the way, he did all of this, not wanting to take a cent for the food he had given us!!! As long as there are people like Mr Solly Manjra, humanity will still live on. Jazaakallah Khairan for your generosity & compassion.

The 4 containers of lamb breyani was very bland. Seems like I have been served with left overs. The taste was not like the usual . It is sad that u pay R260 for meals and u are given left overs. None of us enjoyed the breyani. We had to give it to our pet dog. Just say that u are sold out please

Got there just after 10am, bought delicious hot chicken breyani and sojee.Very reasonably priced on all foods sold here.There is a dining hall should you want to eat at the premises.

Worth the driveFirstly believe the hype, I drove all the way from Queensburgh to Sea Cow Lake to pick up an order of BiryaniAs soon as I arrived I was greeted with the aroma of the quintessential spice blends used in Indian cooking, garam masala, cardamom, cinnamon cloves and that was a good sign to know the food was going to be worth itThe ques were pretty long, seeing as it was lunch time but the staff are quick and effecientlAnd arranged my orders in no timeLong story short the orders consisted of Veg, chicken and lamb biryani, which came with sour milk salad (Raita)And let me just add that they are more than generous with their portion sizeThe food was really delicious to say the least, and it was not extremely pungent which made it much more enjoyableThey do have a wide menu, from from the takeawayFrom the likes of plain curries, dhall, assorted pickles, roti, rice, Naan, sojee, Kalia, keebab chutney etcI havent been to the restaurant upstairs, but will provide feedback.. Perhaps on my next tripAnd not forgetting they are a catering company and the list of what they can do is quite amazing

The mutton breyani was a disappointment. There was a 20 minute delay because the breyani wasnt ready. I ordered three portions for my family with one serving of soji. When we got home and started to eat we were disgusted. The rice in the breyani was so hard we could hardly swallow it. It was the worst that we had ever eaten. I am certain that other people were also disappointed. We were so tired from spending the day at the beach that I did not have the energy to go back to Sally Manjras to complain or ask for a refund of the R210.00 that I spent. I will never go back there to buy food again and I will tell my friends and family about my bad experience.

Take out area caters for a variety of meals. Eg breyanis, curriers, rotis, bunnies, lamb dhall, salads, keer etc. Can also take own containers for your meal. Must be there early as food is finished around lunch time. The special lamb breyani n lamb dhall was very tasty. Parking limited. A little crowded around 10am.

28/02/21Absolutely horrific, salty gravy with 2 pieces of meat for R65. Same salty curry in the bunny. 1 star is too much for the food we got. Stomach is just left upset.

I phoned solly Manjaras spoke to Nazmeera. I told her that I purchased 3 lamb breyani and there 3 piece meat with a whole.lot of rice and lentils. she said toSend her photos, which I did. Nazmeera did not respond so I whatsapp her again for feedback still no response

Best Indian food I have come across in the province

A true established institution in the community. A definitely stop for all visitors to Durban for Indian food. Basically everything that you would find at a 2000s Indian wedding. The Lamb biryani is absolutely fantastic and if you feeling for a treat the special biryani is worth a try. I dont like the khalya which drowns in oil. They have recently started serving bunnies which is quite popular. They have freshly made, fire cooked food daily. The prices are fair. Proportions large. If you bring your container please check its the right amount. The new seating facility works well. They are quite busy and it tends to be stressful getting the order in. The drinks are quite pricey. You cant order ahead. Parking can be tough and you may be asked for change outside by a car guard or salesmen.
