It was the first time that I visited the salon and I am amazed by my hair, I love my new hair do and the workers were absolutely kind and welcoming especially the lady that did my hair.

Awsome place, forgot to take some pics.Very clean, friendly staff.I had the male grooming package, I really enjoyed it, 8 think when it comes to wellness they are so far the cheapest.If you need grooming or a massage or you want to give some one a gift for thier birthday /anniversary etc, I definitely recommend you got to roots salon, they will sort you out.

Got a discount on our money because the first time we went my hair got delayed so we had to come again but we got it half price when we arrived the second time they robbed us and made us pay extra then we are supposed to pay was also a little bit harsh when washing and ironing

We made an appointment and they took walk in clients who came after us first. They attended to us after I threw a tantrum 2 hours later. Also they are dishonest in their dealing and demanded for 50% more that the cost quoted and advertised. The owner also commented that my childs hair was difficult to iron in front of her hurting her feelings and complained that he was to busy to attend to us despite us having had an appointment. I regret having used their services. The lady at the front desk is extremely dishonest and changes the prices as she pleases making up stuff.

Friendly staff but the quality of their cut was so basic. You wont leave looking like youve had a fancy hairdo. Nice staff but they could work on the actual styling.

I booked an appointment for my nails both pedi and mani. What a mistake I made. I went back 3 times because their acrylic was bubbling. My toe nails as is are sitting with an infection. Cheap products are used for a higher value. Now Im sitting with an expense of treating my toe nails and also paid another service provider to redo my manicure.

This is the worst hair salon in the WORLD. None of the staff here know how to blow dry a layered hairstyle. 3 moronic twits could not understand what i was explaining on how how to blow dry my hair. They should be closed down just for stupidity.

Love the service at Roots. The young lady Verusha is so kind, sweet and extremely talented. Her head massage was by far the best Ive ever had and my hair was perfectly washed, set and ironed. Never had a better service in Durban before. Really impressed. Owner was also present and really helpful. All the staff are also helpful and very friendly. So so happy with the service.

Terrible service. I had an appointment at 10. Sat on couch waiting my turn till 1030. No service. No info. Staff ignore you. No front desk staff. Walked out and went to the other place around the corner which is sooo much better.

Convenient, affordable and friendly staff

I had to wait almost 50 minutes after making an appointment to then be told that they cannot fit me in and i should come the following day. They also do not keep track of appointment times as they did not record the correct time that i had made the appointment for and blamed me for being late?#NOT RECOMMENDED

This salon falsely advertised for Brazilian Kerstin Therapy. After calling the owner, Anita, she refused to comply with the deal as advertised. She was very rude and very disrespectful.... My mother was also doing a pedicure there and they made her wait for too long. Poor service. Rather go to the salon around the corner which is apparently a lot better.

I visited this salon yesterday for the first time and while the staff were exceptional friendly and pleasant,I dont like the experience I had with the hairdresser that helped me. At first she was very talkative and extremely friendly while doing my hair but once she was done and another customer in her sights,she left and I never saw her again till she needed my seat for the new customer. Her excuse after 30 minutes was, its hot here why dont you sit there its coolerand she literally didnt know how long I was waiting I had to remind her. Also I would like to point out that the towel and cape she put on for me was all open and falling out! Thereafter time to wash my hair out and she got me sitting for 10 minutes at the basin waiting!!!when she does come and wash my hair,she wants to put a treatment on for me so I can wait,I said no twice I dont want it,we did discuss this earlier too and she was the one who suggested not to do the basin treatment in store but to buy it from them yet she asks me again. Then another of her colleague offers to help finish wash my hair so she can go to the other client,she still has the audacity to tell her colleague to put the treatment and leave it. I heard so I waited till the colleague put the treatment on then I told her that I had told her colleague 4 times not to do treatment. She went and spoke to her then came back and rinsed my hair and left me there to wait. Few minutes later she calls me to the chair for my haircut and her attitude was not so friendly now,I was given an haircut which was just twice the scissors was used then hair blow dryed. I just wanted to get out of there after being there for 3 hours! So I didnt want to say anything of the haircut. To me it felt like she wanted to make me wait and not take help due to client numbers for the day. At the end of it,when I was paying she handed me R150 change which was not due to me but I returned the money as it is not my character to rob people but given the service that was given to me I felt even the heavens wanted to refund me something for such a terrible service from her just to increase her client list for the day!!!!
