My boyfriend and I were so excited to visit The Fat Goat last weekend but were left SO HEARTBROKEN when we arrived at the location!!!😭💔 Only to find that they had shutdown😭💔... We just couldnt believe it!!! We both are HUGE MARGARITA FANS😍❤ its our most favourite cocktail of all time! We have been to so many places on the East, South & North Coast ordering this cocktail everytime... And no place could ever make a Margarita right not even the Mexican restaurants!That was until we walked into The Fat Goat for the first time last year and ordered their Margaritas it was Love at First Sip😍🥰❤ They did such an Excellent Job with that! Ever since then The Fat Goat was our go to place everytime just to have their Fantastic Margaritas! Their Service & food was so good as well! Oh and their humorous portraits🐐🤣...We just couldnt wrap our heads around it, up till now we still cant believe that The Fat Goat is no longer in existence! 😭💔😢P.S: Let me know if you know of any place that makes Killer Margaritas... Do you guys own any other establishment???

As we find ourself on the costal town of Umhlanga, we explore to find exceptional experience. The Fat Goat is an establishment that has delivered in more ways then one. TheGameChanger was made by accomodating us and having a Motjito turned sweet. The food gets a solid 9/10 for serving size and presentation. After your first Stella artois grabb some wings!

Went to the Fat Goat on Friday lunchtime. Restaurant was very quiet but it was raining Cats and Dogs outside. Had the Ribs and Chick combo Special. Ribs were awesome, Chicken was good. Overall everyone had a good meal. Special mention for the coffee, Tikka Tonga coffee was superb!

The Fat Goat was one of those places you come across and then get hooked. The best burger I have had so far. Beers are cold, service is great.The only drawback... they closed down 2 weeks ago. I am so disappointed. Hope you guy reopen soon.

Brilliant new spot in Umhlanga Village. Vibrant, great food, great service and cold beer. Waiters and managers are very keen to help you out, prices arent bad either! Highly recommend this place for lunch, dinner, sundowners or a night out, suits all!

Fat goat is one of my favourite spots. Whether it be for drinks or to eat.The food is fresh super tasty with options for everyone. I love the salads. Staff are friendly and very efficient.

I have yet to try their fare, but their manager is on his game and you can see the passion from himself and the staff. They stock some solid basic wines, primarily higher end fairview region wines and its a nice space to tuck yourself away from the mainstream Umhlanga Village vibe and just have a good date or a reasonably priced meal with cool staff. No complaints here.

Was decent, all there really is to say. The beer is cold. The staff are friendly. Average meal, would not go out my way for it and kinda feel cheated by the price paid. But still maybe the other plates are better.

The Hawaiian Holiday cocktail was great! And must also mention that we felt very at ease with all the covid procedures in place! A definate winner!

Looks a very viby nice place however this past Saturday night, no social distancing enforcement. Absolutely no control what so ever with the patrons. All alhoholed up. If they reevaluate the lockdown levels, fat goat and their patrons are one of the places who have contributed to them making this decision. Thanks!

Good service. Great atmosphere. However the food was rather underwhelming. Chicken livers were done in a sweetish sauce. The ribs were the biggest let down as the menu description promises so much more in flavour , seemed liked they pressure cooked the ribs and poured over the sauce at the end.

The decor is stunning and the staff were very friendly and attentive but the food wasn’t good:( I had the melanzane which was cold and undercooked in the middle, friend also said her pork sandwich was very average. Also very limited options for vegetarians, all of which were starters or a salad. I strongly think there should be more variety on the menu for vegetarians, otherwise it excludes a lot of customers!
