Waiting time was long but the service was good. This little lady is also doing her banking at Standard Bank in Galaria

One thing about this branch they will waste your time. They have the slowest service.

Service delivery shocking, I need a managers number

One teller open for December crowds. This is poor planning. We where told a second teller was opening. That was at 5 minutes ago and still only one teller. The ques at at least 20 people deep all over the bank and no one seems to care about moving things on.

Pathetically slow.

Most frustrating bank i had to deal with, over 1 hour wait to open a savings acount, unable to contact them as their web pages gives numbers that dont exist or just ring non stop. Call centre wont give the branch number and also dont seem to know the different types of TFS acounts, a total waste of time.

Guy at the front desk has a dont care attitude during the lockdown period.

I just spent 15 minutes on the phone trying to make an appointment with my banker at Standard bank Galleria branch. The number given goes to a call centre. Then you wait a few minutes to speak to a human being after which you explain you trying to to get hold of the bank with the intention of making an appointment. That person tried to get hold of the bank in question. First time calls get cut after 7 minutes. Second time she notes that no one is picking up at the galleria. This was after holding on for a few more minutes. I ask her why do I have to go through the call centre to get hold of the bank. She says that the bank is for walk in customers and therefore does not have a direct line. I ask her what happens in an emergency? How do you get hold of somesne at that branch. The reply is that they send an email in the hope that someone reads it. I guess if no one is picking up the phone then most likely they would be in front of the computers reading their emails. Then I ask for the contact number of my banker. No they do not have those details on their directory. Lastly she said shes going to send an email to branch manager with my contact details. Call duration is around 15 minutes by now.So all in all 21 minutes for an unsuccessful appointment.What happened to the good old days of having direct access to your bank with a telephone. How is this moving forward?Lastly... Dear standard Bank Galleria... If you reading this... Please pick up your phones in the future. Its common courtesy.

Why is the open time stated 08:30? It only opens at 9.

I arrived from Gauteng and needed to do an urgent EFT for my mum that has been booked into hospital in GAUTENG . I was assisted by Rochelle who went the extra mile to make sure the payment was done and pop sent to the hospital within the required time scale . Very slow

NOT open on Sundays between 08:30 and 1. Waste of time and fuel.

Just drove a 50km round trip to find your branch closed at 11:30 on a Sunday even though your hours on Google suggest otherwise.
