Legal action is being taken against Reeds Auto Electrical Centre.Errol repaired an alternator which immediately after fitment failed to charge. The vehicle was brought to his premises for assessment of the failure and to find why it happened. A week later he had repaired the issues on his own accord without providing a quote or explanation of the failure and then expects the repairs to be paid for a second time or he holds the vehicle. Basically assumes that he can charge whatever costs he wants if the vehicle is brought to him regardless of whether the customer would approve the repair and then takes it upon himself to retain the vehicle if his unapproved fees arent paid.The repairs on the part works out to more than a new replacement part. Rude and unreasonable, unwilling to understand that he is at fault for firstly doing a bad repair requiring the return of the vehicle for assessment and then also deciding on his own authority to repair the fault at the cost of the customer. Also threatened to sue for defamation of character if these event were openly discussed on social media. Not an ethical businessman.
