Cannot really comment too much about the work as I just went in for quote. Staff were friendly and quote was done by Jonathan who was fast and efficient. Pic of damage to my car yet to be done obviously.Further of my review, I was pleasantly surprised by the time keeping, the constant contact and the workmanship that was done on my vehicle. They promised a new door and labels and when we asked to actually see if it was totally replaced, we were shown that it truly was completely replaced. Well done to BMW SMG. I would recommend anyone not only cause of the proof but the overall friendliness of your staff starting from the receptionist Patience, Ramona, Raymond etc

Ive decided to in future buy SMG vehicles only. They are highly punctual. They delivered me home after I droped my vehicle for repair, they updated me on the progress, they kept me calm during the entire time, they let me know when the vehicle was ready, they picked me up from work to fetch the car most importantly, the car was in show room condition, I ran out of words, the paint was exactly I mean *EXACTLY! * the same on the repaired minors. The staff was comforting....keep up the good work ....I think many souls should own SMG vehicles!

I had a service assistant who kept forcing issues concerning a repair I didn’t need or want. As the owner of the car I’ve ensured I’m well educated on the fundamentals of the car but he made it seem like I was incompetent and and totally ignorant concerning a car I’ve driven for 7 years. I don’t appreciate being treated like a child, I know the difference between having a leak and not having one.I’m thoroughly unimpressed, Need I mention that I also had to wait 30 minutes to get the car which didn’t get the said repairs. I had called the previous day to inform him that I would no longer be needing their service and I’d be collecting the car the next morning.

Terrible experience. I dropped my vehicle off for repairs due to accident damage on 26 October. Handed over my vehicle to my service adviser, who seemed to be very helpful and friendly at the time. The only information given was it will take two weeks to have my car sorted out. I was happy to oblige. I left the establishment thinking everything would be fine, but man was I in for the chase! The communication, or lack thereof, is absolutely pathetic! I repeat ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC! I received my vehicle today and still have not spoken to my service adviser since. She was never available when I called, or was just not in on that day. The generic update smss keep coming through but these messages are just a false sense of hope that something is being done. The day finally came for me to fetch my vehicle. I inspect the area of repair and all looks good. I was paying cash so I went through to figure out how the payment works. Not a single person at this establishment informed me that 50% was supposed to be taken on the day I left my vehicle. In the rush I had to pay clear the full amount at my own cost in order for me to drive home with my vehicle.My vehicle was left with the with a quarter tank of petrol, to my surprise as I drive off and look at my range it reads 4 km! I was in shock. How much of petrol does it take for a road test after the repairs? And does this road test come at my own cost after I am paying you for the repairs to my vehicle?The workmanship on my vehicle was nothing out of the ordinary. Im pretty sure another panel shop could have done a better job.The communication from the staff at this establishment is absolutely pathetic. Service staff should be taught how to communicate with customers. I would never recommend this establishment to anyone.

Appalling service for the 2 unfortunate times I was forced to use this business, in order to retain my warranty. Minimal communication with the customer. Maximum billing. The paint shop shunts jobs around according to agent politics and the agents seem to have no idea that the job they messaged you is complete, is in fact nowhere near complete, nor that the QC has not checked. Nor have they. And when you are unhappy and go home to wait for some more random days, they cant be bothered to phone or follow up.But the paint/body work, once actually done, is good.

I have experienced very poor service from this repair centre. My vehicle was damaged while on their premises, and their workmanship to repair the vehicle was poor at best. After three attempts they have still gotten it wrong and a refund from them takes weeks and never arrives.

Bad customer service it took forever to get the repair done and still dont have my car because their courtesy car was stolen from me. They have no sympathy and I wish I could have went to another place. I dont think il be even buying a BMW after this terrible experience.

Ive was frustrated by service as some plastic bolts were missing and a few minor issues. They did do the service in the time specified and did an very good job of minor repairs which is why they still get a 4. The person who gives you a courtesy call should be replaced with a robot as she does nothing but make irritating sympathetic sounds and promises she does not keep. Real airhead type. A wasted salaried position in my opinion in her case . Please ensure you scribble put any repairs you dont want done on their form as I payed a few thousand for something minor I didbt want touched...and did specify but trusted the other person to correct. It wasnt omitted so I had to pay for it.

Poor workmanship. The sound insulation of my fender was not fitted. Over spray below my windscreen and poor fitment of my front bumper. Just an ordinary panel shop. Nothing special. Should get zero stars.

Terrible service received, because my vehicle Evoque, battery was dead . Thats not service you receive for having your car to be repaired, and not advertising the customer about the battery. After driving it for 130 km home an car would not start. Aircon couldnt work because the battery was dead. Poor service received. Mrs Ebrahim Port Shepstone

Bad experience, staff informed me car was ready for pick up. On inspection work was not checked, Bumper was scratched.There were No managers on site to assist. Workshop staff do not know how to speak to customers. Nobody called me informing of progress. I had to phone everyday for progress. After the weekend Nobody called again. I had to phone to ask about progress.Rather go to a cheaper / honest repairer.

I got a terrible experience when it comes to BMW SMG ARC , I asked them two times before I took the car which was with them for repairs that I can safely drive the car and they responded with a resounding yes, only to find out that its a lie, I had to incur additional costs due to my car not ready, the question is would they had done the same thing if I was a white man? Is it a sin to be black at SMG?

Car took 3 months to complete minor repair. You get zero feedback from them. When returned, the car had scratches it never had when sent in, battery cover was missing and some arch molding cover was removed. This cover is in an area where no work needed to be done. The roll up luggage space cover in the boot was stolen. After long arguments, they only replaced what we could prove the car arrived with from the pictures they took. Roll up luggage space cover was never replaces. Steer clear from this place...but if your vehicle is already with them, pray and pray hard.

On the 26th March I took my Land Rover Freelander to SMG in Briardene for the passenger door to be replaced and re-sprayed as per my insurer Bay Union. I was allotted Mahomed Hoosen as my Service Advisor and headed to Cape Townon a visit leaving the vehicle in his capable hands I thought. On Thursday 29th March I received and sms from Mahommed to say the parts had arrived and my Freelander was in the paint preparation area. On my return from Cape Town on 3rd April I contacted Mahommed to get an update. He informed me that the vehicle was being painted that day and it would be ready on Friday 6th April. From then on things started to go pear shaped! On Friday I contacted Mahommed who said it would not be ready as promised, this was rather disconcerting as we had planned a weekend in Zululand. On Monday I contacted him yet again to be told they were waiting for the mouldings to be delivered! At no time prior to this had any mention of the missing mouldings been mentioned. I asked him that surely when the door had been ordered so should have the mouldings been ordered - he couldnt give me an answer. On Wednesday 11th April I visited SMG personally and Mahomed showed me my Freelander and stated that the mouldings were arriving that day and would be fitted before the Freelander was given a final clean before my collection. He asked if I needed to be collected and I said I would let him know. At 16h00 I again phoned Mahomed to say I was planning on collecting the vehicle at 17h00 and he confirmed that this would be in order. At 16h10 whilst I was driving to fetch my wife I was contacted by him to state the mouldings received were incorrect and Land Rover was in error! That is when I lost my cool and asked to speak to his manager and was put through to Hennie or Henry who apologised and said they would correct the situation. This morning I phoned Mahomed and told him I would be needing my vehicle at 13h00 as I was planning on visiting Zululand as I had planned the weekend prior. He said he would see what he could do - I told him that was not the response I needed. About half an hour later I received a call from a lady at SMG [obviously the coward Mahomed was not going to make the call] who told me that the mouldings would only arrive on Friday 13th April - I told her that this was not acceptable and to get Hennie/Henry to call me as he was in a management meeting in Durban.This service STINKS! If I can do anything to get SMG delisted as an approved repair centre for Land Rover I will do it!So I guess I am not going to Zululand for the 2nd planned weekend again been thwarted by the lies and loose promises of SMG!!!
