Such good food. Really really delicious. The service is never great to be honest. But if you go expecting very average service, and great food, you wont be disappointed.

Tempted to give 4 stars because of the polystyrene containers, plastic straws and single use chopsticks but the food and service was too good for that. Huge portion of egg fried rice with fresh crunchy vegetables. The vegetable soup was fresh and really hit the spot.Not a huge selection of alcohol but still good choices. They have Jack Black and CBC on tap as well as Castle and Black Label.Seating is comfortable and spacious but there werent any visible wheelchair access points which was a little disappointing.Menu is also a placemat which was pretty cool and also a little wasteful. Lots of carnivorous options but the vegetarian choices, although fewer, were sufficient.All in all, great value for money. Worth a visit.

Friendly staff and tasty food.

I often get a quick bite for take aways. Can never fault them. Always nice portions and quick and friendly service. They close late afternoons, so make sure about their operating hours first.

Had the pork belly with noodles and the cashew and sundried chilli chicken noodles. Wasnt bad but I wont be rushing back anytime soon. The cashew option from Simply Asia is way more flavourful. The best part of the visit was the friendly waiter Gift.

The food is amazing !! Delicious, fresh and well priced. The staff was absolutely wonderful on my sons birthday...the allowed me to bring in the cake.... 🎂.. which they set up for me with the candles etc which Id brought along. Very polite, lovely attitude. The simple decor belies what the place has to offer.Subsequent visits were equally good. .... however, I took note that the staff tends to get overwhelmed when the restaurant gets busy. They tend to literally run frantically to their various patrons.... this is not good as it takes away the relaxed atmosphere, creating an urgency . Perhaps, more staff on busy nights would facilitate this. 😋💝

Before Covid my wife and I travelled extensively and regularly though Asia and Indonesia... Thailand, Hong Kong. Vietnam, Taiwan, Singapore and Bali.... Wok Box cuisine is as authentic as you can get.... Love everything about it!!

Not impressed an rather disappointing.The spring rolls were soggy and the veg inside the roll smelled and tasted expired, the oil that is was fried in smelled old too... And then to be knocked with a bill of R91.00.Simple Asia is half the price and better serviceThe service at the wok box seemed very unwelcoming/uninterestedR39 for spring rolls at simply Asia vs R62 for spring rolls at the wok box(r29 for regular cool drink)Thanks but no thanks.

Decent local take on Thai and Asian food, I can recommend the Crispy Wontons, Thai Green Curry and Chicken Satay

Service was good however food not that much I had the pork green curry and my tummy still hurts 2 days later. I also ordered the deep fried ice cream and it tasted like hard Kelloggs on cheap vanilla ice-cream. Disappointed.

The Massaman Curry is spectacular, a scoop of curry and a dollop of rice and POW! This is a great little Thai joint. Fun and lively atmosphere with friendly, knowledgable and helpful waitrons. It was the first time that I tried Thai food and I was really impressed.

Sit-down service can be better. Also note, when you ask for a GLASS of water they charge you R9 for a slice of lime that they add to the water (even if you dont ask for it)

Good Thai, fusion food. Great service, food is tasty, really good starters, and the mains were good as well. Probably not what I expected, but thats not a bad thing.

I had the Japanese Soba noodles after my cousins gave been raving about it for months, usually going in with expectations ruins the food. However I was taken aback by how flavourful the food was, fresh vegetables and wonderful soup. The coconut ice cream seems to be homemade and is delicious. A bit pricey so I wouldnt recommend it be a regular visit but definitely someplace to go at least once a month.

Super fast service, delicious food, nice vibe, friendly staff. One thing I have to take one star off is Tom Yum soup.. was little too sour..! If adding little more hot water it would be perfect. But overall this place is good!

One of my fav! I normally get the sweet basil and chilly noodles and its on fire! The veg always has a crunch and the chicken is so tender. You must eat it with chop sticks. The staff is fun and friendly. Nice for a sit down or take way

Great Thai food offering. Small menu but food was delicious and service was good. Also served some good craft beer (which is always a bonus).

Takeaway and quick lunch favorite but their dinners are packed. Not the place for a long comfortable dinner with there bench style seating but that is on purpose as they are a small restaurant and want to turn tables. Crispy chicken, duck or pork belly and all winners but they do this vegetable soup with noodles for those not eating meat that since trying I go back regularly for.

Just been there (4pm) advertised as open till 8pm and it is closed until 5pm

Delicious food, and VERY fast service. Dont think I have ever waited longer that five minutes between ordering the food and it being served. I really love the Chili peanut and toasted coconut dish, and my mother is obsessed with the Beach Garden salad.

Wontons were terrible. Garlic and black wok fry was mediocre. Didn’t even taste any garlic.

Best authentic Thai food in durban. The service is great however it is most disappointing to know that the restaurant doesnt allow their staff to take their tips. The tips are absorbed by the restaurant and the waiters get a basic. This is off putting as I tip very generously and it is upsetting to learn that the money never reached the intended recipient.

Some dishes are good and some are not to my taste. It is not authentic Thai food but more fusion cuisine to suit the Durban palate (maybe).There is a lot of sugar added into the dishes. Flavours really not balanced and I dont get the taste of real Thai food . The Tom Yum definately needed to be more spicier and was more like tom yum kha without the spicyness and all the coconut milk, the curries are like cream soup and the pancakes for the duck are like roti. I like the steam fish, wok box beach salad..without the crispy spinach, but if you are not on a diet then you should have it with the deep fried spinach.The wok dishes are okay... the black bean option was more like watery soup of seasoning sauce and no different to the sweet basil option except it didnt have the basil of course l. Actually it looked disgusting and watery. I do not think the bar next door make the dim sum fresh, and rather that they are purchased from the local chinese supermarket. I have traveled to many asian countries and lived in them too , so for me ...Overall, the food is okay but would not even suffice in Asia . Btw ... it is not yakitori bar, it is izakaya ... yes lots of fusion and confusion at this place.

With all the hype about this place,I found it very strange that I was told that plastic spoons are not given for take-aways!We jusr finished the Tom Yum we ordered,with a fork from Checkers.I suppose you guys assume all take-aways go straight home to be eaten,or we bring our cutlery. This is our 2nd &last time we will ever visit your cheapskate establishment. We eat @ alot of Chinese/Thai restaurants & this is the 1st that does not supply the items to eat take-aways with. Thank God we didnt order any of the dishes that need forks,knives or chopsticks! To think I recommended this place to friends!
