One of Durbans hidden gems. One of the best cafes youd fine. Quaint setting in a small shopping centre and arguably some of the best pizzas in town. Always friendly, warm welcoming service which is a huge plus.

The Pollo Elegante pizza at this restaurant has to have been the BEST pizza I’ve had in a long time hands down. Ordered for the second time from this place and was absolutely disappointed. This time I wasnt happy at all, didnt receive what I expected and the food was cold and didnt taste great.The pizza base was to dry and the toppings separated from the pizza. I had guests over and was utterly disappointed that I had put this food on the table.The pasta i ordered didnt have enough Sauce and it wasnt creamy which by the way you pay extra for. Which I wouldnt have minded if I actually got it.When it was Cafe Italia it was the best, great service and good quality food. The order was always correct and hot. Cant say the same for Andreas Italian Cafe.If there was a minus star I would have definitely chosen this option.I did not call the restaurant because it would not have changed anything.

Best Pizza in Durban

Had pasta some months ago and it was average, definitely not worth returning for. Decided to try the pizza last week and was disappointed with both my orders. Base was dry and separating from the toppings. Margherita was terrible and the cheese seemed subpar and cheap. For the same price you can get a far better dish elsewhere. Not sure how there are so many high ratings!For comparison we had a Margherita from another Italian place this week and it was fantastic, worlds apart from the one at this restaurant.

Pizza was great. Interesting toppings and two portion sizes. Very disappointed though, the online menu reflects a special, but after the meal we were informed that the special had non-specified T&Cs, and we had to pay full price.

Been a regular supporter of you restaurant in the past more on the take away than visiting, only because I enjoy a bottle of wine and legally you are not supposed to drive? The last couple of takeaways have been disappointing because of the time it takes to deliver and standard of food. Tonights meal however was the clincher, told it would take 35 minutes took 1 hour 10, The pizza was dry and insipid looking, pity it used to be so good. Another customer lost.Posted by Clyde Becker.

Andreas is a restaurant of old friends, new friends, families and everything in between... at Andreas even their numerous regulars become famiglia. If it is impersonal service that you are looking for... then this is not the place. If you are looking for a dining experience that is relaxed and unrushed with only the best and most delicious food coming out of the kitchen... then this place wont disappoint.

We held my Dads 90th Birthday Lunch at this restaurant on 7th September. The venue was great, food was delicious and the function was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. Andrea, his sons and all the waiters were friendly, helpful and attentive. This is our local restaurant and we have always enjoyed the food on offer and had good service. Thank you to Andrea and his team.

A very poor experience as this place had been recommended. The service was very poor, the food came late and when the owner was approached he was rude and asked me to never come back to his restaurant. In my opinion 0/10 !

The quality of food served at Andreas is consistently great-definitely the best Italian food in town. Friendly, attentive service adds to the charm of this cosy restaurant. Feels like home! Definitely my go to place when I need to relax and unwind.

Seafood Pizza (our favourite) had prawns chopped up into tiny peices per slice (instead of 1 large prawn per slice.1 very off sour muscle that I spat out. Also usually 1 muscle per slice - we got 3 instead of 8 in total tonight, but did not eat the other 2 after the 1st one being off.Traditional ham alfredo was tasteless with copius amounts of tastless black mushrooms and no visible ham to speak of. When ordering a ham alfredo, the restaurant manager should perhaps, before recommending the tradional alfredo, advise that this is a tasteless mushroom lovers dish - something that my 13 year old is not!Any food critic tasting it would have given this dish a scathing review; and I sincerely doubt that the owner would subject his family or friends to this dry tastless rubbery serving.The bacon, avo and feta pizza was okay, but was ruined when our guest asked us to identify what the black stuff was on her crust - which was a long peice of caked dirt (stuff you find on a fan or in a vacuum cleaner.R360 later - complete waste of money.
