After reading such bad reviews I was sceptical of going, but my steak was perfect. Nicely done and bursting with flavor 👌. Mushroom sauce was creamy and tasty, I had a greek salad which was just okMy date complained about his chicken and ribs combo though. 5 STARS - ALWAY HAVE A GREAT MEAL THEIR.

We were there with my elderly parents for dinner on Friday 21st May specifically for the R49 special on sirloin steak. The food and service was very good, but the awful music, played at a volume which made conversation impossible, forced us to eat up fast and get out. We asked for the music to be turned down and they reciprocated by actually turning it up. The place is extremely noisy................

Ate at Turn n Tender Ballito (table for 6) on Saturday evening 26/01/2019. First of all, the lady assisting us with the orders’ name is Happiness ~ she was helpful and friendly.We ordered mostly steak. The steaks were 300g at R175? Medium done. When it arrived the steaks were well cooked and still sizzling on a hot plate, not more than 200g in size and 1cm thin!! Some of our the guests did not accept or eat the meal.. probably the worst steak we ever had. The manager’s response was that they order their meat from Head Office and that is what they received and serve to guests???This morning my wife a I started vomiting with diarrhea at around 3am and it hasn’t stop after 16hours. We did not have any other meal on Saturday except cereal and bread. The worst experience ever..

Asked for medium rare steak. It was served well done on hot plate that continued to cook the meat. The meat was gristly and lacked flavour. The Italian chutney was just tinned tomato and onion. Nothing like the menu description. Our waitress did not once ask how the meal was and glared at us each time she had to approach the table. Ballito has a wealth of fantastic restaurants where the food is always spectacular. Dont bother with this place.

I brought my family to take advantage of T n Ts birthday special of a 300g sirloin steak and choice of side for only R42!.... Our food arrived sizzling and delicious. They didnt skimp on the portion size or the quality. Ive deducted one star for poor waitron service but other than that, a great meal with even greater value.

Would give six stars if an option. So nice to have pleasant evening talking to guests without having to shout over live music. Highly recommended.

Turn n Tender is by far our favourite steak house. It is our favourite for a few reasons:1. The food is absolutely exquisite. They only use top notch quality meat and produce, and they REALLY know how to cook and prepare amazing meals. Their specialty would have to be the steaks. Regardless of the size/thickness of the steak, its always cooked to perfection (medium-rare in my case and the recommended way to order a steak) and their ribs are to die for - super soft, really juicy, smoked BBQ sauce, and the meat just falls off the bone. Our favourite dessert is a chocolate lava pudding (chocolate fondant) served with ice-cream, which they make in the restaurant (most other restaurants serve the premade frozen variety ordered from a wholesaler), but be warned, this dessert is highly addictive its so good! We have NEVER been disappointed by any meal served at Turn n Tender.2. The ambiance is relaxed, modern and classy, and the theme is quintessentially South African with traditional South African dishes prepared with a modern twist.3. The service is very good, and we typically only get served by the same handful of waiters. This means that the wait staff know us and were always made to feel comfortable. The fact that they have a very low turnover of staff, is indicative of a pleasant work place, and happy staff are incentivized to do good work - which is shown in the food that comes out of the kitchen, and in the wait staff who bring it to your table.Turn n Tender is not a cheap place to eat at, but considering the quality of the food, the cost is certainly justified.

Poor service at the Ballito branch.Firstly on the 3rd of July, i was served a closer to raw piece of meat. This didnt bother me as mistake can be made. I sent it back, only to wait over 30mins before I was able to get a waiters attention to follow up on my steak. Disappointing, since by the time I got my meal, everyone on my table had already finished their meal. Whats worse is the restraunant was empty and my steak was delivered to me cold. such poor management when theres barely any customers in the restraunant is astonishingIn addition, on Saturday, 29June , at 9pm i entered the restraunant , only to be turned away . According to the waiter they were closing due to unforseen circumstances. This surprised us , since there was still people eating inside and the closing time is normally 10pm. On addressing this with the floor manager a few days later ; he even was suprised. But thanks to Salsa across the road; we still managed to enjoy a good meal.Service and dining experience is lacking at the ballito branch TNT .
